Soxplosion
40 homeruns for the fifth time in his career! Woohoo! Go Frank!
BridgeportHeather
Too bad the rest of the offense decided not to show up today.
Capn12
Although Frank is not entirely without blame. Back when we had 2nd and 3rd, 1 out. With CLee and Frank up, I'm pretty sure both of them were trying to make it 4-4 instead of trying for a basehit and 2 RBIs. Home Run thinking is not always correct. You think this team would figure that out after 3 straight years of getting their asses handed to them for trying it EVERY f***ing time. Nope....this team is full of a bunch of dumbasses. DonkeyKongerko
Just when CLee is starting to look like he is turning the corner mentally. First pitch popup to left field.
Jordan4life_2003
Carlos has had his best season this year. But he's the last guy I wanna see at the plate with runners in scoring position during key moments in a game...

DBAHO
U gotta giv credit to Frank for da way he's handled it this season. Last year the guy looked washed up and was almost certain to be elsewhere next season. But he's really turned it around this season, and ever since he didn't get picked for the All Star Game in his home town (Wats up wi that?) he's comes back really really determined to prove to every1 what a big mistake that was, If we win da division, he should be named MVP. YASNY
I don't think it was a matter of Frank wanting to show they screwed up. I think Frank Thomas wants a ring. He's finally figured out what it is all about.

Guest Ncorgbl
Right! I hate to see the team RBI leader up with RISP. Carlos has some very big and memorable key hits, and game winners as well. I seem to recall a walkoff aginst the cUB that was fantastic. I've not been a fan of his half seasons of success, learning to walk, or situational hit or field and then forgetting what he learned, but this season he has put it all together and given us a full year. I'd bet baggio is floored by Lee's defense.

It still puzzles me how anyone can look at Thomas' season last year and call it anything other than coming back from a major surgery. What did people expect? His arm was ripped off, cut, & sewn back together. Most couldn't type for a year after that, let alone hit a baseball. All those things add up, and Thomas has a great deal of pride, however, I believe he knows, and most should, that this season's numbers won't get him an MVP award. Snubbed with better numbers in 2000 for the All Star game and MVP, snubbed 3 times for the All Star game this year in his home park, he'd need a .320+ BA to force the issue. Needless to say, the All Time Greatest hitter in the history of the White Sox is my MVP.
elrockinMT
I think Frank took 2 years to recover from that arm injury also. Pitchers need at least that long to get back to some semblance of their old self's and I never could figure out why people thought hitters were any different. 40 homers is a tribute to the effort and quality that has made Frank Thomas a star. I think Frank will be better next year also. Carlos Lee has also improved in every aspect of his game. He has really developed into a star player too. I do think he needs to be reminded of what he said earlier in the year and that was he was going to take more pitches and go to right. He still has lapeses, but overall I think he can be considered as the most improved player on the team.
