Makes you wonder if the families were left in Cuba because smuggling them to the USA was impossible, or if the smugglers wanted to maintain some leverage to make sure the players paid up. If nothing else, the fact that Obama is trying to normalize the relationship with Cuba should help guys like Jose that are just trying to do right by their family and play the game at the highest level they can. It's not fair to the Cuban players and Cuban people to have to suffer because or their non democratically elected governmental.
