This team is so bad, might as well try and steal all the time. Who cares it they get thrown out.

lol so painful to watch this team.

I appreciated Remillard's effort last year. In this wasteland of a year, might as well let him play for a bit.

I doubt it gets vacated any time soon, if at all. It sounds like Michigan is investigating the PI firm that illegally (according to Michigan) obtained documents, assuming it links to Ryan Day and Ohio St. I do think this story will be going on long after this season though.

He was such an obvious choice it was almost comical. Til I die I'll never understand how he was not the hire. (I mean I understand, of course, but I can't believe it.)
As painful as it is watching that guy walk to the mound, it hurts even more knowing the Sox continue to screw up managerial hires.

I am convinced a bye is not an advantage in baseball like it would be in football. You can’t be off for a week and pick up where you left off in baseball. It definitely feels this way, but I have no idea how this can be changed. Maybe starting the divisional round on Friday instead of Saturday? Maybe making it a best of 7 series instead of best of 5? They'll never drop to 4 teams in each league like they used to, so maybe go up to 8 teams (which I hate) but for the 7 and 8 seeds, they need to win 2 games before the 1 or 2 seeds win 1 game. I don't know, all these ideas seems stupid, but I can see making a case to move the round up 1 day, but the top seeds would still have 4 days in a row off.
In my perfect world there'd be no divisions and 6 make the postseason. Season ends on a Sunday and on Tuesday there'd a 1 game playoff between 3/6 and 4/5. Divisional round starts on Wednesday. Obviously know this isn't happening lol.

Matt Nagy made the Bears look silly today.
If Andy Reid retires in the next few years, Nagy will become the head coach. I know you Bears fans aren't very high on Nagy, but clearly there were more problems than just him in that organization.

lol perfect White Sox ending.

It's en essence an extra inning situation. Nice double by Colas but part of my thinks there's a better chance scoring him from first since this team is putrid in manufacturing a run.

Fire Grifol.
Or reward him for securing #3 pick?
Getting 3 years of salary for 1 year of terrible production is enough of a reward.

lol I really don't care about the results that much, but Santos was in for 3 or 4 too many batters.

I might be done if this happens. Following a baseball team shouldn't be this miserable.
I 100% agree. Might jump to an expansion team in a couple years (if the league expands.)

I can't believe it!

Oh good I can go about my life now. He was 2-17 during the appeal. f*** outta here
Not to mention he was missing games due to "scheduled rest days" among other things.

Might as well annoy the hell out of the Cubs Remy! Bunt single then a stolen base lol.

Awful deal the moment it was announced. Hahn bid against himself, similar to Ryan Pace when he did that draft day deal. No one was going to give Benintendi that. The team had so many glaring holes too and he blew it all in one spot for someone you could've paid league minimum to do the same job for. If you liked the deal, it's only because you liked the name.
Don't get me wrong, Andrew could be a serviceable player, but you don't give the richest contract in your team's history to a serviceable player when they already count enough pennies as it is.
I like Andrew, but he's a complimentary player. If 2B and RF were resolved, he'd be a fine LF option batting 7th in our lineup or something. But being the premiere off season acquisition is beyond ridiculous. He's not the reason this team is a disaster, just a product of how terrible the team is constructed.

In an extra inning game, with either of those guys pitching, I would have everyone bunt.
Might as well, you feel like it's a 50/50 they walk the batter anyway.

Robert seems pretty much oblivious to everything going on around him.
Andrus would be in HoF if his entire career was at Jacobs/Progressive. Wow. 5/8 this weekend.
Congrats to Andrus for finally having a higher Slugging % than On Base %. It's only August, padding that 62 OPS+ as well!

I never want Cleveland to win the division. I don’t like them. I know others on this board feel that way about Minny, fair enough. If Detroit is ever good again in my lifetime, I can see their fans getting super obnoxious, but my number 1 Sox rival is the Guards.
I hate Minnesota with a passion and it's not even close to other division rivals. In late September 2008, I went to the Metrodome and saw the White Sox blow a 6-0 lead only to lose in extra innings. Myself decked out in White Sox gear, I had fans spitting on me, knocking my hat off, shoving me, etc. They thought they won the division with just 1 series to go against Kansas City. Obviously that didn't happen because the White Sox won Game 163. But long story short, the Minnesota Twins are my most hated franchise in all of sports.

I knew there was a Quad Cities insult coming…maybe narrow it down to Davenport Rock Island or Moline.
If you try to do an Illinois insult city, it’s either Rockford or Peoria.
lol apparently Bettendorf doesn't get any respect!

I'm not super high on prospects in general but I don't want him around anyone who may be called up. Not entirely his fault but the only culture he's brought is a losing one.
