Soxtalk mourns the passing of our beloved friend Alex (Heads)
I heard about this horrific accident yesterday, being an Iowan myself, it was in the news. Echoing what everyone else said, he was a great communicator and always pleasant to interact with. I feel for his family and friends. I was 17 or 18 when I joined here back in 2003 or 04 and the first 5 or 6 years it was always great to interact with everyone. I'm 39 now, a father of 4 kids, and life sometimes is a hectic. I sure do miss the older days of 20 years ago. I hope everyone out there is doing well. And Alex, I'm so sorry, we'll all miss you!

4/1 Sox vs. Twins 6:40PM CT
Classic Twins and White Sox in that inning.

Eloy to Baltimore
Should've traded him after his hot second half in 2022.
-
7/24 Sox @ Rangers
This is way down the line of issues the last few seasons but I don't understand how Eloy can't elevate a ball anymore. I think we all thought he'd be a perennial 40+ HR hitter. What a shame.

7/10 Campfire Milkshakes vs. Twinkies Straight DH 1:10PM CT
lol 24 pitches and counting, zero outs. I'm guessing the White Sox have 5 outs before Ober reaches 24.

7/8 Sox vs Twins, time for Flexual Healing
That's wild to think about being nearly .500 vs them!
-
7/8 Sox vs Twins, time for Flexual Healing
They'd probably be like 5-3 against them if games ended after 6 innings lol. No need for them to worry, the bullpen always sucks.

7/8 Sox vs Twins, time for Flexual Healing
5-11 last year, 3-6 so far this year is what I'm reading.
-
7/8 Sox vs Twins, time for Flexual Healing
I think they'll be 8-18 in extras after a loss tonight under Grifol.
-
7/8 Sox vs Twins, time for Flexual Healing
lol ok it's time for the Twins to score again. Always seem to score right after the Sox do.

7/8 Sox vs Twins, time for Flexual Healing
lol like clockwork the Twins always answer.

7/8 Sox vs Twins, time for Flexual Healing
Not playing Luis Robert is a good start.

4/30 Sox vs. Twins 6:40PM CT
lol I'm yelling, how the hell are you going to screw up the run down, almost happened.
-
4/30 Sox vs. Twins 6:40PM CT
lol I was thinking 6th or 7th inning, but definitely inevitable.

4/30 Sox vs. Twins 6:40PM CT
Well, it was nice knowing you "good game"......

4/23 - Sox @ Twins 6:40 - Fedde vs. P. Lopez
I'm not super high on prospects in general but I don't want him around anyone who may be called up. Not entirely his fault but the only culture he's brought is a losing one.

4/21 Sox @ Phils
This team is so bad, might as well try and steal all the time. Who cares it they get thrown out.
-
4/21 Sox @ Phils
lol so painful to watch this team.
-
Sox Select Remillard & Justin Anderson; DFA Shaw
I appreciated Remillard's effort last year. In this wasteland of a year, might as well let him play for a bit.

Michigan Football Investigation
I doubt it gets vacated any time soon, if at all. It sounds like Michigan is investigating the PI firm that illegally (according to Michigan) obtained documents, assuming it links to Ryan Day and Ohio St. I do think this story will be going on long after this season though.

2023 Division Series
As painful as it is watching that guy walk to the mound, it hurts even more knowing the Sox continue to screw up managerial hires.
-
2023 Division Series
It definitely feels this way, but I have no idea how this can be changed. Maybe starting the divisional round on Friday instead of Saturday? Maybe making it a best of 7 series instead of best of 5? They'll never drop to 4 teams in each league like they used to, so maybe go up to 8 teams (which I hate) but for the 7 and 8 seeds, they need to win 2 games before the 1 or 2 seeds win 1 game. I don't know, all these ideas seems stupid, but I can see making a case to move the round up 1 day, but the top seeds would still have 4 days in a row off. In my perfect world there'd be no divisions and 6 make the postseason. Season ends on a Sunday and on Tuesday there'd a 1 game playoff between 3/6 and 4/5. Divisional round starts on Wednesday. Obviously know this isn't happening lol.

2023-24 NFL Season Thread
If Andy Reid retires in the next few years, Nagy will become the head coach. I know you Bears fans aren't very high on Nagy, but clearly there were more problems than just him in that organization.

9/5 Sox@Royals
lol perfect White Sox ending.

8/23 Kirby v. Kopech Gamethread
It's en essence an extra inning situation. Nice double by Colas but part of my thinks there's a better chance scoring him from first since this team is putrid in manufacturing a run.
