  1. Nothing against Terry Ryan because he has been a great GM for the Twins but... KW would have been absolutely KILLED on this board if his biggest moves in the last two years were adding Tony Batista, Rondell White, Sidney Ponson and Ramon Ortiz.
  2. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ May 23, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) So this summer I decided that I would ldo some serious lifting. I know the basics, but what some good tips to get stronger? Good excersises? Supplements? I have heard about Whey protein, is it safe? Food choices? Give me some pointers here. The forums at Men's Health have just about every subject from training to cardio to diet to specific workouts that you could ever need. I would suggest browsing around over there.
  3. QUOTE(bkmoney @ May 16, 2007 -> 12:42 PM) nice play by crede. my favorite is the random guy from culvers promoting something adding in his comments about hte play hahha That random guy is Ron Kittle.
  4. Maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing if this one got rained out... Erstad, CF Iguchi, 2B Konerko, 1B Pierzynski, C Crede, 3B Mackowiak, RF Ozuna, LF Uribe, SS Anderson, DH Danks, P
  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 12, 2007 -> 10:12 PM) Today's news is good for the Cowbosy as well since we want the Chargers LB Coach as our new defensive co-ordinator, otherwise it's Todd Bowles's job. ????? The 49ers already hired the Chargers LB Coach as their new D Coordinator about 2 weeks ago. Link
  6. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Oct 16, 2006 -> 06:15 PM) The White Sox beat writer was on Chicago Tribune live. He said Raines got canned for not working hard enough. In Anaheim late in the year, he supposedly was taking grounders with the infielders. Raines took grounders with the infielders just about every day when they were here in Chicago so either the beat writer pays no attention at all or he is just fishing for stories that make him seem "connected." I'm not saying that Rock not working hard enough isn't a valid explanation but to use the incident in Anaheim as an example isn't correct.
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) Sources say UWM head coach Rob Jeter could be named head coach at Iowa State as soon as Wednesday. Those "sources" suck. McDermott it is. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2378077 IMO...he is a great hire for Iowa State.
  8. WHITE SOX ACQUIRE INFIELDER ALEX CINTRON FROM ARIZONA IN EXCHANGE FOR PITCHER JEFF BAJENARU TUCSON – The Chicago White Sox have acquired infielder Alex Cintron from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for pitcher Jeff Bajenaru. Cintron, a 27-year-old switch-hitter, batted .273 (90-330) with 19 doubles, eight home runs and 48 RBI in 122 games with Arizona in 2005. He played in 39 games (31 starts) at shortstop, 32 (18 starts) at third base and 23 (15 starts) at second base. Cintron also hit .304 (14-46) with three home runs and 12 RBI as a pinch-hitter. He tied for the National League lead among pinch-hitters in home runs, tied for third in RBI and ranked ninth in average. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Cintron is a lifetime .279 (398-1,424) hitter with 25 home runs and 152 RBI in 439 games, all with Arizona. During his five major-league seasons, he has played in 280 games at shortstop, 69 at second base and 58 at third. Cintron is a .313 (125-399) hitter from the right side of the plate and a .266 (273-1,025) hitter from the left side. His best season came in 2003 when he hit .317 (142-448) with 13 home runs and 51 RBI. He played in a career-high 154 games with Arizona in 2004. A native of Humacao, Puerto Rico, Cintron currently is playing for his country at the inaugural World Baseball Classic. He originally was selected by the Diamondbacks in the 36th round of the 1997 draft. Bajenaru, who will turn 28 on March 21, spent most of the 2005 season at Class AAA Charlotte, going 4-6 with a 1.41 ERA (11 ER/70.1 IP), 19 saves and 83 strikeouts in 61 relief appearances. The right-hander also pitched in four games with the White Sox, allowing three earned runs in 4.1 IP. Bajenaru is 16-15 with a 2.42 ERA (70 ER/260.0 IP), 72 saves and 314 strikeouts in 218 career minor-league games, all in relief. In 13 appearances with the Sox, he has gone 0-1 with a 9.24 ERA (13 ER/12.2 IP).
  9. QUOTE(klaus kinski @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) Does anyone know how many, or which games are sell outs already, other than opening day and Sox Cubs? Those are the only ones right now... Next to go will be BOS, NY, HOU, and STL...probably in that order.
  10. You can call 312-674-5147. It will get you directly to Brad.
  11. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 09:48 AM) Yep. Announcing it defeats the purpose. Now it's not a "pre-sale" at all. Just announce it in one of the emails they already send us, that's all. Helps them get a lot more people registered though...
  12. Ozzie Plans won't be on sale until early December...they got pushed back due to obvious World Series conflicts. I can try to let you guys know as soon as they are available.
