BMAC on the hill for Charlotte, Corwin Malone makes first start since 2003. Big Crowds expected for Birmingham tonight with Phil Nekro Apperance and Mike Cameron Figurines.

I hope so too, sometimes lefties arrive later. He'll be 25 in July. My guess is he'll end up being a set up guy if he makes the majors. Time will tell.

Good- Jerry Owens had another 2 hit game scored the only run for the Barons. Malone threw the ball well hitting 91 and was throwing strikes. Yofu came in an pitched well.

 

Bad-Defense was lousy behind Malone it was awful to watch. 15 Runners left on base, 8 in scoring position. Blakely left 8 runners left himself. Blakely also commited a huge error when he let the ball bounce off his head.

If Owens keeps hitting this way it would be cool if he ended up in AAA at the end of the year..... So far it seems like a good trade since all we lost was Escobar.
