Nobody that is going to important to this window is going to go anywhere. Get players who can actually play baseball.

Totally agree, but Yolmer is the kind of guy, assuming the Sox can establish stars, that will be the difference between 2015/2016 and 202*.

RF is a pretty weak position. I can't think of many guys I would rather have on the roster there than ELoy going into a season. Harper, Betts obviously. Yelich if you consider him an RF. Then you get into guys like Nimmo, Haniger, Piscotty. I don't think it's that big of a reach.

I was going to say wednesday, but if they're 'Looking to wrap it up' that implies to me that they've been pretty much in agreement for a while and needed to hammer out details so there could be less time between news break and official announcement.

I think having jay/pederson in center is exactly why you want to carry Engel also. I’d guess the bench would be Leury, Sanchez, McCann, Engel

A year from now Basabe could be a major leaguer. Bryce Bush might not be in AA. This logic fails too

Yup you can’t count on competing but you’ve created a situation where if prospects succeed, they’re rewarded with a good team around them

Putting a mystery team out there during the Friday news dump is hilarious to me. “Stew on that all weekend ya dopes!”

I can’t believe the national baseball media is still sitting with its tail between its legs

There's plenty I don't understand about the human condition, but the need for so many people to make fake insider pages is up at the top.

self proclaimed breaker of the JA Happ trade apparently

Ah Journalistic standards in the internet age. What a wonderful thing.

yup

Yeah I think you're right actually

So when does Cubs Convention actually start? That's my very last hope that it happens before spring training.

Way ahead of you

How can I root against a guy like that

If we go that long without a signing, I hope it does

I'm going with sign him. But let me fire up my alternate reality machine to test this hypothesis.

Yolmer will be on the roster regardless

For real, make the jump to podcasts and don't look back

Ristorante Morini only has 4 stars and 3 out of 4 $'s on Yelp. The Yankees really have gone cheap. SMH

I think this picture is suuuuuper weird. Like a textbook 'hey everyone look at me, I'm that guys dad' picture

Said this before, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hahn and Kenny avoid panels, to avoid an accidental slip up on a question. They're pros and all, but thats a significant risk.

The national reporters are in timeout until further notice
