Ozzie would take it. Fire pedro when they hit 2 - 20. Tell ozzie it's yours fir the season but come fall they'll do an exhaustive search. He would of course be included, and what he gets from this team will be noted. They wont do this but it makes sense to me.

Connie Mack couldn't win with this lineup. A bad team is going to lose, Grifol just causes it to happen a little sooner. Grifol is the poor sap who is steering a broken ship, he'll be gone soon enough. Blame Jerry and maybe Getz, blame the leadership the last 10 years (+++).
He contributes plenty. I agree I don't think they plan on it but if it continues to be historically bad they will do something. I didn't think KW would ever be launched but he was. Unfortunately I think Jerry is leaving the manager up to Getz and that's his boy.

The moment they signed Jon Jay and Yonder Alonso to lure Machado we should've known this would fail miserably. I knew when they failed with Machado, but fooled myself into buying into it out of desperation.

I agree. And if that's the case just trade him. It wouldn't make any sense but better than jerking him around and delaying his major league development.
