yeah that wasnt exactly the smartest thing to come out of his mouth lately......... sometimes i wonder if they dont get cooked out there during all those day games........ Sun Baked Baker - I think sunstroke may have a role here!
  2. no way would i want Bowa - i thought it was odd that Wrigley ranks high as a favorite place to play and so low as to quality of ball field

No prob HSC - I think it is interesting the Trib broke this story - how stupid Baker was to say something like that - talk about cooking your own goose
  4. some unusual - as I read it - results here suvery best and worst results

Jesse works very effectively in the real world - Baker has shown himself to be another stupid ignorant jock who may know baseball but nothing more - no one wil give him a golden parachute or anything else but a push, or silence - except on the cubs board where they are screaming
  6. remebering that I have no baseball purist fantasties - I should have been clearer - who is the one of the 5 most likely to contribute to an NL defeat - I am not awarding an Oscar here, or MVP, I am a biased AL fan who wants to do everything that I can to go home a winner next Tuesday - again who should I vote for to give the AL an assist

hell, you know Jesse has nothing to do with anything here and just as Baylor went so will Baker with no one saying a word - losing and gross stupidity get no defense from anyone

baker saying odd things I think Baker is going to have a very short tenure in Chicago
  9. I'd like advice on the NL position too
  10. the Sox won - twins and cubs lose - i can sleep with the royals winning since so many other good things have happened now everyone vote for Frank!
  11. cwsox replied to Joel's topic in Pale Hose Talk
you all can vote for Frank but not against sam-me cuz sam-me ain't on the ballot
  12. oddly enough on the cubs mlb board the fans seem to think this is well deserved
  13. And as a starter, Jesus lost today too. Imagine Jesus losing on a Sunday. Must have been God the Father and God the Spriit decided not to give God known as Jesus Prior much help.

by the way, MB keeps winning game after game - hell' end with a damn good record after all is said and down - as some of us said, it was just a typical pitcher slump which happens to all the great ones
  19. on The Top 100 1 hit Wonders on VH1, they did a little sidebar on disco one hit wonders and ended with the death of disco and to video-wise illustrate that, guess what they showed - first time I ever saw old Comiskey Park on VH1! Let's dance the last dance...
  20. now you would correct an incorrect stat....
  21. probably not the stomach - but that would be off topic thread - so outscored Tampa Bay 16-10 and win only 1 - damn too bad we couldn't take four runs today and then add two to Friday and two to saturday's scores
  22. no need to risk anyone getting hurt or suspended - no need
  23. I agree Plus when was the last time these guys pitched. Glover pitched last in 1982 I think, and Sanders the year before that - or that is how it seems - we've been playing with a 23 player roster
