If Reinsdorf had gone all-in and signed Harper and Machado, I would imagine they would have signed Dallas too - and others. The Cubs have a 205 mil payroll. The Sox could have gone to 185-190 million and been equally compelling. It would have been worth going into hoc and getting two full season packages to show my appreciation.
