I wish Stone was leaving. Jason grew on me. He's an excellent broadcaster. Reinsdorf probably wanted him to cut back on his national back commitments. This helllish ownership needs to end.

Reinsdorf would have long left the sports scene had he taken his tired ass to Florida. He got that sweetheart deal from the State with the expectation he could concentrate his resources on building a powerhouse team in a division where CWS was (and still is) the sole major market team. Instead he bamboozled us with his 40 + years of perpetual rebuilds. Reinsdorf did a desperation Mambo and got a one-hit wonder out of it. He got into the NBA HOF because of MJ - a guy he inherited and probably would not have drafted. No such call will ever come from Cooperstown.

Those types of decision-makers want de facto control and huge budgets. They won't get either from Dorf.

Imagine if this clown hated baseball ? Dorf can't go away soon enough. He's an abject failure saved only by the fact he inherited one the greatest NBA players in history.

Pretty much a given now

Best news of the season. Theo is my first choice. Next would be who ever the decision maker is in Tampa Bay.

I believe some affluent group with Chi-town connections will come in an offer Dorf a premium for CWS. MJ, Oprah, Obama (oh the $$$ connections he's got).

Dorf is building up the area around his West Side Sistine Chapel the same way Ricketts is doing with his in Wrigleyville. Dorf will the sell the South Side tax shelter but his family will be forever tied to the easy money on the West Side.

The Cubs are just non-existent to me. I felt nothing when they won the WS.

The same number of NBA Championships he's won since MJ left. As much as I revere MJ as an athlete, he is principally responsible for Dorf remaining an irritating part of the Chicago sports scene. The Bulls not the Sox made Dorf a paper billionaire. Notice he's taking a clue from Ricketts and buying up property around the West Side's Sistine Chapel. Dorf's creating the kind of entertainment complex he could have had in the South Loop with a slick, modern retro style urban ballpark. CWS is just a tax shelter for Dorf and rich pals. MLB needs to intervene but they won't.

What need do we have of further witness ? CWS will be a S-Show as long as the Dorf Cabal are in the owner suite using the organization as a defacto tax haven.

And I got laughed off the site when I said the second week of the season that's where we were headed. Another pitching prospect ? Aren't Soxfans tired of the SOS. TJS after he strikes out 12 batters in an exhibition game next year.
