  1. Seeing some of these free agent contracts, I’m really interested to see what Robert would have gotten on the open market.
  2. I don’t know how you could have Vargas, Sosa, and Vientos on the same team. They are all basically variations of the same player.
  3. Them Ishbia cash infusions already making a difference.
  4. That Meidroth projection would be great Teel and Colson should be better than that I’d take that from Vargas Benintendi, Robert, and Sosa all seem fairly realistic Seems slightly pessimistic on Quero and optimistic for Baldwin
  5. From what I can tell, he was ranked #44 in the 2023 class coming out of high school per MLB.com. So he was already highly thought of out of high school, but has obviously taken an even bigger jump.
  6. Interesting in that he has the size and power to play 1B, and that scenario would mean that Carlson, Antonacci, Roch etc are all really good. But yeah, I would prefer Colson to stay on the left side. I think 3B is probably the ideal spot for him in the long term.
  7. I had several people in my replies yesterday suggest moving Colson to 1B in the long term. I can’t say that thought ever occurred to me, but it’s interesting.
  8. I just don’t know how they are going to navigate having both Paez and Alberto on the roster together. They are both so raw and inexperienced. If one of them sticks throughout the season, I’d consider that a win.
  9. Cmon man. I don’t know whether he would’ve been good or not, but it’s not like the Sox bullpen was full of Mariano Rivera’s. It puzzled me that they never gave him a chance even with all the roster churning they did.
  10. Pallette struck out over 11 per 9 at the AAA level. Who’s to say he’s not better than them? They never even gave him the chance to prove that one way or the other.
  11. I see at least 5 or 6 guys currently on the 40-man I would have cut before Pallette, but it’s most likely just shuffling deck chairs on the titanic.
  12. I’m not going to lose sleep over losing Pallette, but not protecting him didn’t make any sense to me. It’s not like they have so much talent that there’s a roster crunch. Whatever.
  13. Justin Crawford or Owen Caissie
  14. If they trade for Robbie Ray, they could have a rotation with Kay, May, and Ray
