I honestly think Karinchak is better than this guy. Not sure why Tito has him closing.

Both these dudes are better than anyone in the Sox bullpen. Crazy how good pitching just grows on trees in Cleveland

This son of a gun now has .4 fwar and a 131 wRC+.  Maybe TLR is setting him up for success.

Noice! Vaughn is never gonna cover a lot of ground out in left but he seems to read the ball off the bat well and takes good routes. Dude also has a strong arm. I was at the Rangers game over the weekend and saw him throw an absolute missile to home plate. Maybe this crazy experiment actually works out?

Is it too early to call him wildly successful? Rodon gives him a lot of credit. Obviously we know what he did with Giolito. Cease looked great.

Our pitchers are throwing curveballs again. I'll never understand why Coop had the pitchers ditch that. Coop was really holding this staff back.

So true. Coop was just cashing a paycheck and coasting the last 5 years or so. He probably thought he had a job with the Sox for life no matter what. Thankful ffor what he did for the Sox way back when but also happy as hell that he is gone.

He's developed a hitch.  He looks bad.  The quick short stroke he had coming out of college isn't there right now.

The dude had like 200 at bats at A ball before he was rushed to the Show. He's clearly not ready but is being forced to play, out of position as well, due to the incompetence of the Sox FO.

Calhoun, Marte, Polanco, Haniger, Bryant. Gallo, Blackmon.

There are others who may be more likely/reasonable than others.  But we know one thing so far: Nick Williams is not the answer.  I'm not sold on Billy Hamilton being the answer either.  If the Sox plan on competing and even making it to the playoffs, they're going to have to so something to fill the very obvious hole in the lineup.

Ya think?  I can't even believe these guys are on the roster. I thought the Sox were done with tank mode?

The Sox will just mix and match guys like they have been for the first couple weeks. Hopefully they are still in the thick of it come July and can flip a couple of the high school arms for Kris Bryant.

Any closer can blow a save, but Hendriks really labored in that ninth. Almost 30 pitches to get three outs. Went deep into counts and had a hard time putting guys away. Wasn't very good.

This is still too small a sample. But as time goes on, we will see if this a contending year or another developmental year. The team isn't real deep, and so it can't afford any more  serious injuries. Needs to turn things around soon. I don't think this team will rebound from a real bad start. And ChiSox59 is right. The loss of Eloy is huge.

Hell no. 2021 is not another "developmental" year. This is year 5 of the rebuild. The rebuildniks and Sox Front Office do not get to kick the can down the road another year. Go look at where the Cubs were at year 5 of their rebuild. It is put up or shut up time on the South Side.
