QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 06:28 PM) People who wear hats while playing basketball. Not really a pet peev but at the gym where I play, there is this older guy and everytime we are on opposite teams, he wants to guard me and I end up going off on me. I always try and stay away from him because he doesn't know how to box out. Instead of boxing out, he pushes me back in mid jump or jams his butt just above my knees and almost hyper extends them. Then if I am under the basket rebounding he comes and pushes me in my thigh trying to do a late box out. The guy is older and shouldn't even be playing. Not sure why he keeps trying to guard me either.
  3. I'll go with ref bump, sweet chin music, ref slow count, Orton kicks out at 2.999999, Orton RKO, still champion!
  4. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 03:41 PM) I'm REALLY hoping that the writers' strike allows the wrestlers to give input into their characters and storylines. That's how it worked before wrestling got "big". It seems like the writers didn't understand the business and had no idea what to do with most of the guys anyway. Agreed 100%. The most creative guys backstage are the wrestlers themselves.
  5. Some people would say the hockey ruined the thread.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 11:48 AM) I'm actually going to steal that and make it my avy. Brilliant, let's give a seat that can be taken by a Saluki and give it to a Hoosier!

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 12:33 PM) I made that drive one too many times, I didnt think it was that bad though. Once you get on 57 for the most part it was always wide open. Then you have amazing scenery to look at like, a prison, a huge cross...and thats about it. And cornfields, nd exit, cornfields, rest stop, cornfield...

On my long drives home and to SIU, I would entertain myself by yelling at other drivers. Some of the profanities out of mu mouth would prevent me from running for pres if recorded.
  9. QUOTE(LauraJ14 @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 10:30 AM) Illinois used to have a tournament - I think it was the Illini Classic and they usually were other teams from Illinois there. I remember them playing ISU several times back when I went to school there. I think that they played Bradley last season and I know that the Illini have played UIC several times in the last 5 or 6 years. Kyle is referring to the run around that Illinois gives SIU when approached about playing each other. Chris Lowery has asked Weber about it to no avail. It goes back as far as Weber asking Self to no avail. I was hoping Illinois would beat VTech last year in the tournament so we could have that match up.
  10. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 09:10 AM) Thats because of who is delivering the kick, not because of who is recieving it Hater. This whole HBK/Orton thing is tough cuz I am a huge Orton fan but HBK is one of my favs of all time. If we get a 4 star match at SS, we all win.
  11. With the way they are setting things up, HBK will help elevate Orton as a champ at Survivor Series. The crowd is popping huge every time Orton gets kicked. I expect at SS that Orton finally learns, ducks it, hits RKO, wins. That is good storytelling and will make Orton look very good. All this is just build up for a pay off. If the pay off doesn't come, who knows.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 5, 2007 -> 10:09 PM) We start virtually a week later than almost everyone. Most teams first regular season game is this week, we just decided to schedule are two exhibitions a week apart. Falker 3:16
  13. Kyle, we have to show off the 115th reunion of DX! Orton has to take a back seat! Orton sells the super kick like death. He rules!

Just hoping everyone else is celebrating the 52nd Anniversary of Doctor Emmett Brown inventing time travel.
  15. Santino and Austin segment tonight was GOLD!
  16. Probably Billick's last stand. Never really liked him as a coach myself.
  17. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 5, 2007 -> 07:59 PM) This isn't an exhibition by the way. Really? Thought the regular season started the week before Thanksgiving. Still, I stand my Derrick Rose being a good shooter.

There is this guy who comes into my work and everytime he says HI to me he winks. It's very annoying for some reason.
  19. QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 5, 2007 -> 03:23 PM) I wonder how much time Weis has left. 6 years. He may not last that long, but he is not going anywhere soon.
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 5, 2007 -> 07:00 PM) Rose can't shoot a lick though, so he'll struggle when the opposition slows the pace down. I've always thought he's behind Gordon and Mayo. Ha. I saw Derrick Rose play multiple times live in high school. He is a good shooter. He doesn't have to score and can be a great floor general but if he wants to turn it on, he will. When exhibition is done and the real games start, he'll turn it on.
  21. QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 4, 2007 -> 06:46 PM) She is not gonna be naked any time soon... As ghey as this may sound, Jessica Alba is so sexy, cute, and bubbly, that gratuitous nudity could hurt her in my eyes. Back under my rock I go.
  22. Who would win between Iowa State and Minnesota?
  23. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Nov 4, 2007 -> 06:10 PM) I tried to go for the Colts but I just can't stand Manning, plus I have to support Michigan alum Tom Brady. Marlin Jackson feels neglected.
  24. Wes Welker was aquired from Miami for a 2nd and 7th round pick. 19-0
