2009 Free Agent Class
I love these lists, Kalapse. Mostly cuz I don't realize how old some guys are.

Doc Halladay
Cardinals sports radio and fans want him bad, but St. Louis won't part with Rasmus. I could see him as a Redbird.

Official 2008-2009 NFL Thread
I work part time at my gym to get a free membership. Mike Hass is a member and last week he brought his girlfriend in as a guest. Holy crap she was hot. I had to tell her to sign in and my tongue literally got tied. It was embarrassing. I think I said something along the lines of, "Pease whine in."

Chris Williams agrees to terms
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 12:26 PM) I wouldn't. Davis is better fundamentally but he's got a ridiculous skill-set which enables him to get open with ease and make plays. So you're agreeing with me? lol

7/25 - SOX @ DET, 6:05 PM CDT, WCIU
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 09:36 AM) Crede does not rake lefties Got me there. I'd like to think that everyone will rake against Robertson tonight. He has been bad for the most part and all our guys have seen him plenty of times.

7/25 - SOX @ DET, 6:05 PM CDT, WCIU
QUOTE (YASNY @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 08:51 AM) Just looking at head to head stats, the Sox need to give Crede one more day of rest to be safe and start Uribe. Crede rakes at Comerica.

2008 MLB Catch-All Thread
I almost had Ryan Braun's homer ball tonight in the 9th. Just too many people between me and my goal.

Chris Williams agrees to terms
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 11:15 AM) I will be absolutely shocked if Hester ends up as the #1 WR after the end of the preseason. 3rd or 4th I would expect I'd put Rashied Davis ahead of Hester as a WR now and last year.

Hurricane Dolly Bearing Down on Me
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 10:54 AM) Things could get really interesting when the remnants of the storm catch the jet stream and start north. Hopefully it avoids the areas of the midwest that were just flooded, and aims more towards the southeast that was in a severe drought. News here in St. Louis are saying that we will have rain/storms for the next week due to Dolly.

Tigers series coming up...
We have bulletin board material when the Tigers said they weren't impressed with us last time we were there.

I found it humorous that the Chicago segment was held at Wrigley Field.

Urlacher reaches deal with Bears
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 08:12 AM) The NFL is the ONLY league where I can understand players trying to negotiate new contracts, because the contracts aren't guarenteed. once you get outside of the upfront money, you can tear up the deal at will if you are the team, and have no committment to the rest of the deal. Places like MLB, NBA, and NHL where the guys get all of the money they sign for are different. This is how I feel, even though I hate all the hold outs. Hester's situation makes it seem he is greedy, but look what he brings to the Bears. Look at the jersey's he sells. He is the most dangerous player in the NFL. Market wise, he is severely under paid. And the NFL market is all you have to compare him to.

Wait a sec! Reed Johnson hit a grand slam? Opposite field to right center? At Bank One? He hanging with Soto?

Bartman in the news again
He works in the northern suburbs still.

2008 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 04:10 PM) And Boston fans still rip him apart regularly. You would think he has a decent ERA instead of the one he has. Boston fans and NY fans are idiots. They don't know what they have sometimes and take certain players for granted. But they also overate players as well. They both annoy me.

Sabathia is a beast. When it was 1-0 Brewers, it felt like that would be a enough. If they get one bullpen guy, they could run away with the Central.

Wow, didn't realize Aramis is batting .269 now. He is still slugging like a mofo though.

Bartman in the news again
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 06:21 PM) I think the White Sox should offer an open invitation to Bartman to throw out the first pitch at a game and give him free season tickets.(Several rows from the field) He could be a hero on the southside. Someone to look up to. A role model. A legend. Someone kids can aspire to be like. A man among Gods.

Bartman in the news again
QUOTE (Texsox @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 05:06 PM) He's turned down more, which is pretty stupid IMHO. And Gonzalez should kiss Bartman's ass every day. He's the one that really cost the Cubs their chances. Fixed

Bartman in the news again
He'd be dumb not to do it, but that is me. Just hope there would be security around.

2008 White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 07:33 AM) I loath Gail Fisher and really, really dig Kerry Sayers. Gail is looking a tad heavier where I am wondering if she is pregnant.

Chris Williams agrees to terms
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 03:30 PM) Hester is now holding out. A lot of the Bears work out at the same gym as me in the off season and my buddy texted me at noon saying Hester just showed up to work out. I was like, ruh roh.

White Sox Winner!!
670 comes in decent here in St. Louis and had it on the radio in the pool. When Q went yard in the 8th, I wanted to shout obscenities about CJ Wilson but my little cousins were there. So....F*** you, Wilson!
