  1. Bruce Levine just said it isl Ozzie!!! Welcome OZ!!!!!!!!!!
  2. The baseball world will get the impression that Flub fans ACTUALLY pay attention to the game when they are there.... If this happened on a Thursday in July, this ball would have undoubtedly conked some yuppie yappin on his cell phone right in the head. In all seriousness...here's my take on the cubs....I don't root against them, but I don't root for them. Honestly the thing I hate most about the Cubs is their fans...I don't mind the team soo much....it's the fans that get me...and I don't want to hear about this year for the rest of my life. I don't understand why people don't get it when I tell them I'm not rooting for the Cubs. Everyone tells me..."It's a Chicago team...wouldn't you want a Chicago team to win over another city's team." my answer is "NO!! It's not my team. I am loyal to my team. Where has loyalty gone...I will live and die with the sox...not jump on some other teams bandwaggon cause they're winning." It is so hard for people to get that...especially Cub fans. or I love the other cliche' "It would be great for the city" Say what?? What the hell is great for the city. Unless you own a bar or a hotel by the park...what the hell is so great about it for you. Most people that have used that line with me are from the fricken burbs anyway. I'm like what is so great for you?? It may be good for restaurants, bars and hotels....but is that your concern now. If you are so into helping the city then go f***in volunteer, don't use that as a reason to jump on the f***in bandwaggon!!!!!!!!!
  3. I'm selling my opening night Bears tickets. I just thought I'd put the offer out there and see if any fellow sox fans were interested. Sec 325 row 7 $450.00 each If interested email at [email protected].
  4. I'm glad someone in these thread of Mensa members figured out how to spell reference
  5. BMR and Cubkilla f*** You very much for your opinion. :fyou With regard to the Sox, I now believe it's over!! Bye Jerry!
  6. While I'm not the most optimistic person with regards to our current situation...it isn't over. One of the hardest things to do is win games when you are suppose to win games. It's hard to get up for the last place team and you can be sure the Twins will be feeling the pressure of that. They know they have to get this thing done against the Tigers or they will be the laughing stock. You can also be sure Detroit want's to end their season on a good note... Of course this all means s*** if the sox can't turn it around and get some hits...but I'm not so sure I'm ready to write em off yet!!
  7. Hey Corg...use some vasoline it will stroke easier...
  8. I don't see the big deal with what Hawk did. I mean he put a lot more emphasis on that call than he has in the past on blown calls, but I think that was a big turning point in the game. I agree he seemed to go on and on about it, but hey it's biased coverage...that's what they're suppose to do. He points out when the sox get a break...he doesn't belabor the point like he did liast night, but it's usually noted. Anyway....Loaiza on the bump!!! Lets take 3 - 4!!!
  9. Bright side we won series..bad side...MB wanted this game and Manual gave it to Cotts. Its over now...lets get the Tigers!! A team we should sweep
  10. what's goion on?? Last I heard was leadoff double?? Who's slacking??
  11. Ncorgbl have you ever played sports? I know there was times I didn't want to let my teamates down. It didn't mean I wasnt trying any other time or that I wasn't giving 100%. "show who he is" to me, just means that if his teamates get him a lead he doesn't want to be the one to mess it up...he wants to show them he can handle it. You took that as meaning he doesn't try unless his teamates are playing good and you use that every time he pitches.
  12. Just as an FYI.... If you go on Tuesday and plan on sitting upper tank. It's cheaper to just buy the half price tickets at the park. The web deal is $5.00 upper deck,, but with a 2.50 convenience charge on each ticket. That's $7.50 a pop. Regular prices are 14 and if ya bring in pepsi product upper deck are $7.00. I think we'll just buy them at the gate and go to Bullpen bar!! Lets get us a win Tuesday!!
  13. Thanks all!!! I'm in!!!!!!!
