He first said this ""If George Bush loses the election, Osama bin Laden wins the election, it's that simple. It will be interpreted that way by enemies of the United States around the world." " Then when asked to clarify he said this "if the president loses his re-election bid, it will be considered a victory for bin Laden in the eyes of U.S. enemies" So the real comment here is that if the president loses then it will be considered a victory for bin Laden and the U.S. enemies. I have no problem with that comment. It's a little different than saying a vote for Kerry is a vote for Osama. This is a republican simply saying that HE THINKS that Bush is a better president and a stronger president than Kerry and that the terrorists would enjoy seeing hm ousted.

I agree with what you said. A time frame before the incident is acceptable. Where do you see that they want to go back 3 years? That would be ridiculous. But if the girl had slept with 2 people in two nights or whatever...then the defense does have a case. It should be interesting to watch all this play out.

maggs is gone...What I want to do with the money..is shore up 2nd and Short. If Harris and/or Uribe take the reigns this year and prove they have all star talent then 2nd base is handled and we need a top SS. I think our infield defense is HUGE. Outfielders that can hit are a dime a dozen....we need to solidify the infield. We may lose some RBI's and Run's with Maggs gone...but we'll gain a lot by having a solid defense around the horn.

Ok...here's the deal...First off...you two have to be sure this is what you want...You have to be positive. After that...if you decide breaking is still your option...the only way to get over her is to stop talking to her. Stop calling her, Stop emailing her..If you have mutual friends, tell them you don't want to hear about her. and DUDE most importantly NO DRUNK PHONE CALLS. The good thing is that she will be 8 hours away so ya can't really just bump into her...that saves a lot of problems. You both need to know you will still be ending it as friends...and in like 6 months...you can write her and see how she is doing or whatever...but I'm telling you if you try to stay in contact and email all the time and try to be pen pals you will never get over her....and that is not something you want hanging over you when you start college. It's not fair to you or her. As hard as it probably is to believe...you both will enjoy your freedom for awhile. It's college man!! Live it up! I was thinking the exact same thing this morning when I read that. The funny thing is...they never do go on to say what was impressive. Usually if something is written like that you expect to hear what the "impressive" part was.... I guess they were just impressed with him getting shelled... ohh I see now after re-reading I realize they are impressed with the fact the he took the blame for it. I haven't givin anything up for like 10 years....I figured I'd do it this year and since it's been so long I'd pick something hard. So I made the ULTIMATE sacrifice....I gave up BEER!!!!!!! 30 year old male...moved from Bridgeport when I was about 3 to 79th Pulaski...Moved to Naperville area when I was about 19. My mom and dad were both brought up in Bridgeport. I lived in the building Jimbo's is located in..My grandpa owned it back then. My dad ran the bar that is now Jimbo's.....back then it was called M&M tap. That should take care of the demographics.

I was shocked and appaled to read that this morning too!! But I'm used to the $6.00 at the Soldiers Field..so I guess it won't be too bad...but it's just the idea that you are basically paying for a six pack when you buy one beer that kills ya... my response....ahh drink a few more and you won't care so much about the price.

Yes it was a cheap shot...but people if you watch hockey there are ALWAYS cheap shots...and this one seriously hurt someone. So they are making a big deal out of it. If they want to set an example here then I say do it...Ban him from hockey for life....and put it in the books that any cheap shot such as this one by anyone...and that includes all the STARS will be banned for life....and I'm not talking if the guy gets hurt. I'm talking if you sucker punch a guy when he isn't looking then you are banned! you crosscheck a guy....then you are banned....you try to keep punching a guy when he is down...then you are banned...you hit a guy when he is defenseless then you are banned. All I heard on tv and read on the internet was about what a disgrace this was. I never read or heard that some of these comments were made by people with a political agenda. Yes the author is a conservative....That is my whole point...To find out some of that information you have to go all the way to the other side. You won't hear about it on CBS, ABC, NBC...when the local news stations put their littlle blurb out there about current events...they only say that people are upset and appaled at the presidents ads. They don't hear that....The people upset with the president's ad's, just so happen to be from this left group that is funded by a center that was in turn funded by a group which Mr's Kerry is the head of As far as that long ass list posted by apu...yes I agree that radio personalities would probably address it...For years that was the only way to hear the other side....and the people on fox news would address it....but you naming all those other people is just fodder for your argument....I don't think they would address it and the evidence proves they wouldn't becuase you and I both know...this has never ever been mention on any station. I don't think I ever heard a liberal say there is a media bias slanted towards the right.....that is a new one for me.

First off let me say I hope the guy recovers fully. Second off I think I defend Bertuzzi here. I mean if they want to change the rules in hockey then change the rules, but right now this is what hockey players do. They cheap shot...they hit a guy from behind...they slash...they check hard from behind...they trip...when something bad happens...then everyone wants to change s***. Bertuzzi sucker punched him...that happens almost every game in hockey. I don't think bertuzzi knew that his punch knocked him out...He punched him and was gonna take him down to the ice. It just so happened that the punch knocked him out and his head fell forward and got driven to the ice...It was an accident. Was Bertuzzi trying to figth him?? Hell Yeah. Was he trying to punish him? Hell yeah...Was the end result his intention...hell no!! This is how they play hockey though...until they change everything and say no fighting at all...no retaliation s***. If that punch wouldn't have knocked him out and he would have just fell to the ice and put his hands down and then rolled over and started fighting back..then none of us prolly would have even heard about it. I just hate that the NHL is going to try and make an example here when what they should do is either change the way hockey is played or expect these kind of things to happen once in awhile.
