  1. One thing I'm proud of this team (the White Sox) for is that they have no covid emergencies (I don't think they have had a positive test since the season started) and crossed the 85% threshold pretty quickly.  We aren't hearing the crap about vaccines we are hearing out of the Cubs clubhouse and we certainly aren't seeing the outbreaks we are seeing on the other teams.

  2. I wouldn't mind seeing Leury platoon with Andrew out there once TA gets healthy again but the fact is, you have to ride him and hope he gets out of this funk he's in.  Luis did manage to get out of the slump for the very brief playoff series last year.  Maybe Vaughn does the same.  Although, once Engel does get back and if Sheets continues to put up quality at bats, I don't mind seeing Engel and Sheets starting over Vaughn.

Only half complete at this junction, though thought people might want to know with Sale scheduled to pitch Sunday.

If I were to fill in the blanks, would go with Reynaldo Lopez Friday, Martin Perez (Boston) Saturday, and Carlos Rodon on Sunday.

Doubleheader Monday, a makeup for the snow day to start the year, muddies the water for slotting the current IL and rostered pitchers. Lambert likely pitching at least once more next week.

We don't have a doubleheader monday.

Get ready.  I am sure as we move towards the playoffs Mr Keuchel is going to try and play his, look at the back of my card bullshit.  And how he was made for the playoffs.  Hopefully TLR ignores that and he is cheerleading the team from the sidelines.

"I definitely think that's fair to say," he said. "I'm open and honest with everything that I say and do. And shoot, I've been probably — not probably — I have been the weakest starter in the rotation for much of the year. That just speaks volumes to the advancement of (Dylan) Cease and (Carlos) Rodón being the guy that everybody expected him to be. (Lucas) Giolito and (Lance) Lynn have been themselves, and it's just me kind of bringing up the rear.

"Of course, I think about it. It's what everybody plays for. Once you get a taste of the postseason, that's all you want to do from there on out. So I've definitely thought about it, but letting myself get rolled up into that idea is the least of my worries right now. I've just got to make sure that I'm myself come Oct. 3, the last game of the year, and whatever happens happens.

"But I've always been a team-first guy. So if it doesn't work out, I'm going to be as mad as whoever else isn't on it. But at the same time, if you're not getting the job done, you don't expect a spot if you're not putting up the numbers and doing your job."

I really think you are taking what he is saying completely out of context.

It seems like he throws 2 of them too. One like a classic knuckle curve that drops 12-9 and another one that almost breaks like a slurve. Or maybe that's just his erratic control on the pitch.

No I think you are right.  I think he does have two curve balls, a knuckle curve and more of a power curve.

I saw a 96 sprinkled in there, and a 97...but..Crochet is what he is, at this point (IMO), and that is a bullpen guy, not a promising starter.

Am I also wrong to say, "Please no Kopech tonight". ?

I'm not sure why you are saying Crochet is a bullpen guy.
