  1. I think Kimbrel should get some opportunities to close for sure. Having said that, not enough people I think appreciate that Hendriks basically carried an underperforming bullpen on his back for the first half of the season. I chalk this up to him going this many days without work. It's pretty clear that when he goes long stretches without work, he's not very good. I would be down though to see him in the 8th inning on Saturday and Kimbrel in the 9th. And I think because of his desire to pitch more, TLR can be more creative with the ways they use him. The only thing really alarming about Hendriks this year is how many home runs he's given up. Some of that is probably due to Comiskey being a much more home run friendly ballpark than Oakland. But also, it's partly because he's always attacking the strike zone. There are sometimes he's going to get hit. Still, before Kimbrel switched leagues, he was the best closer in the AL by a mile. I still feel comfortable with him in the 9th. Thank god we have Kimbrel though.
  2. In time when I settle on a new one. ?
  3. Literally started screaming YES YES YES and startled my mom. What a great game!
  4. It's possible his velocity might be down a tick but Kimbrel isn't a one trick pony. It's the knuckle curve, which he is locating, which is what makes him so explosive. That combined with his fastball is why he's a future hall of famer. As long as he's locating that, he's fine. I would give him a save opportunity soon though just to see if he can get that added adrenaline going.
  5. I've grown to like them but I would be in favor. Also, can we bring back the vest jerseys as occasional home alternates? I still have mine and I miss them.
  6. That knuckle curve was ridiculous .
  7. TA constitutionally incapable of making that uninteresting. Good work by Bummer but he almost once against got screwed over by bad D.
  8. Kopech with that Big Bastard Energy there. He's so stoic. It's fun to see him break out that emotion.
  9. I was all for bringing Lynn out to start the sixth but they should have had someone up.
  10. That one scene aside, she's great in the movie. Got her start doing Chicago theatre as well.
  11. Totally intentional. I'd let him have this batter and take him out.
  12. The legend continues That likely cinched his spot on the roster when he Yas gets back.
  13. Yeah they aren't. But I'm shocked they are able to travel with the team.
  14. Shockingly drama free catch for Eloy
  15. Yoan is trying to play 12 dimensional chess with his at bats and it's not necessary.
  16. Eloy in a halfway unbottoned 1919 jersey looks dope. But there is truly never a routine fly ball with him.
  17. Big Bastard is in prime form tonight.
  18. Is it just me or is this camera set up a bit weird?
  19. Man. When Costner said the first place White Sox, I lost it.
  20. Pox on the schedule overlords for not scheduling that series during corn season.
  21. Lol. He goes into the corn and never comes out and is playing for the ghost team. The Black Sox featuring Shoeless Joe and Eloy!
  22. Lol. Just imagine there being no fence and Eloy having to go into the corn to field to get the ball.
  23. This is also now reminding me of a funny story that I was just told by mom. Apparently my dad, at the assisted living facility he was at got into a fight with the Cubs fan because he thought he was being disrespectful because he wouldn't take off his Cubs hat. Haha. Apparently he kept saying that the Cubs were crap and the White Sox had heart. I do remember that guy had like all this Cubs crap on his door.
  24. Would love to. My friend has an Iowa residency and he applied for tickets for us and we lost out. Gotta save money for grad school unfortunately. Out of my price range right now.
