Honestly MLB needs to step in for the good of the game, even the integrity of the game. We cant have a team that is so bad competing against major league talent. Its a sad day for baseball that a team is this bad

And of course the cubs are wining, have a likable team and are on the upswing, Wrigley is hopping

GRF on the other hand is depressing and dreary

Amen. MLB is a disgrace allowing this to happen. The Sox should be fined a LOT of money. This even affects MLB on the whole. Sox have completely turned Minnie's season around. They allowed KC to get off to a decent start. Maybe MLB wants/needs patsies to save other teams' seasons. I'm trying to learn more about the Cubs daily. They do have several players with a lot of RBIs and have major leaguers on their team. I assume they are selling out every game again and/or will be soon.

  2. I don't even know if Ozzie would accept the job right now. If he did, he's nuts.

He'd have to regularly speak with the GM and the assistant GM which would be annoying as heck. And he'd have to talk to Jerry once in a while which would be nightmarish. Also two media sessions on game day in which he'd be baited into blasting some of these players and their skills or lack thereof.

Even an Ozzie lover like me would advise Ozzie to pass on this one if offered.

  3. You guys that rooted for losses at the start of the first tank through the tank that got mad at me should have just waited a few years.

Am I a bad fan for enjoying the losses? Just seeing how low we can go at 3-22 and counting? Since I don't buy mlb.com anymore and don't watch the games it's kinda humorous to see this historic ineptitude play out. Losses are almost like wins in my mind now.

I wonder if next season will be just as bad or worse in April. 3-22 is pretty tough to match.

  4. Hmm another 4-game sweep. Not easy to lose four in a row to the same team. This is a noble baseball experiment we're witnessing. When you have only 2 good starters (one hasn't arrived yet) and basically no good relievers (OK maybe one per given game out of five) and basically seven of nine hitters (on a given night) that don't belong on an MLB batters box, you figuratively will lose 9 of every 10 games. Defying the law of averages.

Will somebody please tell me why no media member has gotten a comment from the commissioner's office about what's going on 35th St. and Shields? This is unacceptable. (Look at the Twins record before we came to town; we may have saved their season by gosh).

  5. Final point tonight: I was in the car tonight and listened to the final 2 innings on Sirius. The Twins announcers made it abundantly clear til this series Minnie was looking like a pretty pedestrian team (small crowds too). Sox as they did to Kansas City have rejuvenated the Twins a bit. I wouldn't be shocked if Minnie takes all four this series even tho the law of averages once again is on our side.

Greg predicts an 11-2 type Twins win tomorrow (if u were smart u'd bet the house on Chicago since my predictions usually reek).

Stone’s tweet was pretty embarrassing but he knows who signs his paychecks.  Sox fans are shredding him in their replies.  It’s quite amusing.

Disappointed in Stoney. He could just as easily had a twitter post succinctly saying this is the worst collection of talent he's ever seen and 3-20 is about right for this horrific team. p.s. kudos to Eloy for coming back so quickly. That surprised me. Then he stole second base so he's apparently trying to win and stay healthy both.

  7. Speaking of announcers, Stoney had a stupid twitter post today and I normally love Stoney. He posted something about getting through hard times like this shows how tough a player is, blah blah. Cmon Stoney, you know this team is an exception. No rah rah stuff here. Team has worst talent in team history and an astonishingly bad manager. Don't give us some dumb inspirational tweet, not about this team. And I repeat, I love Stone.

I keep telling myself that's the last fucking Sox game I watch this year.

Fire Pedro so these players realize they can keep playing like s%*# and someone else will lose their job. That will light a fire under their guaranteed contract ass.

They lost me in 2024. Haven't watched one inning. As a caveat though I have watched the game recaps on mlb.com.

  9. Sox are built to lose every single game. Because so many areas of weakness on a given night. Tonight, Fedde masterful, so the bullpen is horsebleep and we lose. Offense OK run-wise, five runs, BUT again bullpen this night horsebleep. It's always something. Mendick as expected is hitting. Maybe when Pham comes and Clevinger they can make us a 25-win team. But right now 10 wins by the all star break would be a shock.

Folks the commish has to step in and reprimand the Sox for fielding this minor league team.

Good post Beast. I also thought of AJP immediately after Ozzie. ... But since the Sox already are not getting fined for making a mockery of baseball (all involved should be ASHAMED of this roster) I'd do something fun the rest of the year. Instead of a celebrity singing take me out to the ballgame, have a celebrity manager each series. Start with Steve Stone, then Big Hurt, then Obama, then Kathy Griffin, then Lori Lightfoot (Sox fan), then Brad Underwood, etc., down the line. It'd be fun. If Ozzie or AJP were willing they could sit in the dugout next to the guest manager and make sure they knew the rules, etc. Pay them a few bucks to help.

He's costing himself a LOT more than $500,000-1,000,000 in ticket revenues by holding onto that idiot...

Jerry's lucky that the TV deals are still solvent. I thought I read somewhere ESPN wants no part of baseball in the future. It's very boring and ratings reek. Only thing saving the White Sox is the TV money and worth of the franchise when Jerry decides to sell. The Cell is going to be vacant this summer and people are going to learn they don't need White Sox baseball in the future and will elimininate it from their summer fun budget completely.

  12. I wonder if we can beat Minnie. I think when we get Mendick, plus the slugger Pham and our new starting pitcher, it might result in a few wins. We'll have 2 1/2 reasonable starters plus a decent closer to go with the rejuvenated lineup.

Just seems to be a super intense guy that rubs a lot of people the wrong way.  It’s the same guy that slapped Joc Pederson in the face (lmao) because of a fantasy football league game

So much for the b.s. spewed about improving the clubhouse culture this season. It's hard to only win three games out of how many the Sox have played. Law of averages suggests a few more wins than this, but this team is so bad it defies the law of averages.
