My only rebuttle is about the lenyn thing that long term speaking is there a spot on the roster for both Vargas and Sosa who are average-below average at one position over a brooks baldwin utility man+better hitter. I mean can either play left over Benintendi where we can hide the bat or are they worth enough of a bat to hide. edit is in bold just so no one's replying to the wrong wording.

this throws back to how horrible benitendi was as a pickup. that team and this team needs mashers at the corners and first. i don't care if the rest of the league hasn't figured it out yet either because the expensive players will play in expensive spots, we're not going to get gifted a juan soto but the inability to fill in masher spots outside of burger for half of a season has left us as potatoes

All around catchers outside of Raleigh are a pipe dream and if Raleigh showed this hitting ability 5 years ago he'd be a DH instead of a golden glover. Raleigh waiting a bit longer to break out as an elite hitter until after he established himself as an elite catcher will not happen frequently.
