  1. given that he's still a rookie i wonder if he's still adjusting and used to just getting the ball back. i'm not in a position to look it up but it seems from my naked eye that Teel is above average to good at framing.
  2. do you think it's due to maybe his overzealousness on trying to backdoor runners that he's looking too much at the bases instead of the frame?
  3. I agree with all of this and thank you for laying it all down like that. My only rebuttle is about the lenyn thing that long term speaking is there a spot on the roster for both Vargas and Sosa who are average-below average at one position over a brooks baldwin utility man+better hitter. I mean can either play left over Benintendi where we can hide the bat or are they worth enough of a bat to hide. edit is in bold just so no one's replying to the wrong wording.
  4. this throws back to how horrible benitendi was as a pickup. that team and this team needs mashers at the corners and first. i don't care if the rest of the league hasn't figured it out yet either because the expensive players will play in expensive spots, we're not going to get gifted a juan soto but the inability to fill in masher spots outside of burger for half of a season has left us as potatoes
  5. in regards to defense there are 5 and you bushwhackers that want to see bobbled balls don't seem to understand it C>/CF/SS>>>>>>2b/3b>>>>>>>>>>>>>1b/lf/rf. the issue isn't with Lenyn's bat it's he's barely a medocre batter at 1b/lf/4f/ and not good enough of glove to play at other positions, nor is vargas really.
  6. other teams use platoos and tryouts and versatility he can ony be there he is worth less than those players. he might be the 4th best hitter on the team but he is not in our future. that is all. love the guy too
  7. my friend who lives in japan is surprised by the amount of white sox gear he sees. no judgment for the people that voted yes but you are very wrong.
  8. this vegemite conversation between stone and schriffen is pretty top notch
  9. luis robert needs to walk here so colson can hit a 500 foot grand slam
  10. i wonder if there's a weird juxtaposition of them having the young guys not steal bases to preserve their health while encouraging Robert to steal bases to increase his value. this pitcher and catcher can be easily ran on. and there's one lol
  11. if they trade them. no one's making a pennant bid after getting a top draftpick in baseball what do you think this is a basketball board? even then they're being eased in since the wemby and luka prospects have dried up.
  12. The better Robert gets the better we get. Who knows maybe he wants to just chill here?
  13. Lenyn Sosa is playing better than he is and it's still worse than an average player because he has no positional versatility and he's a 700 ops guy that is a minus defender regardless of how many times he gets a two run rbi down 5-0
  14. All I'm saying is treating two good very young catchers who are defensively and offensively coherent and treating it as a bad thing is something only one person I think I could fathom to look at it as a bad thing.
  15. Hate to play the guy that is just in between but I've been impressed with the framing by teel and the arm and craftyness of Quero. All around catchers outside of Raleigh are a pipe dream and if Raleigh showed this hitting ability 5 years ago he'd be a DH instead of a golden glover. Reminder that Kyle Schwarber was drated as a catcher/3b/LF and we laughed. Raleigh waiting a bit longer to break out as an elite hitter until after he established himself as an elite catcher will not happen frequently. Rutschman's even an afterthought/mid player and was the apple of every catcher fan's eyes. anyone lamenting the problem with a platoon of Teel and Quero is a fool
  16. so fucking what mentalities like these are so obnoxious you think we suddenly have a slightly better fucking beer than the brewers that makes them better or do you prefer random horseshit stats
  17. in one evening? I could not fathom the type of person that strikes out twice in one night and tells people about it
  18. yeah but that second one had you at .500
  19. Man if I was into number conspiracies and really liked the number 22 that would be a solid group of baseball players to collect memorabilia of or something. Or maybe they were just stuttering and asked for number 2.
  20. i'd rather have a 50 million dollar payroll every year than rebranding. you can f*** off with your tennesse white sox and arlington heights bears with that horseshit
  21. NEAD FOR MEAD OR NEED FOR MEED EITHER WAY I LIKE JOKES BUT THIS GENTLEMAN NEEDS A CHANCE OVER ROJAS AND CAPS LOCK
