  1. I could be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure the Bulls could absorb Giannis contract. Again I could be wrong here, but i also think they could hypothetically go over the 1st apron to resign let's say Simons or Sexton and Zach Collins. That gives you a starting lineup of Giddey-Simons/Sexton-Dybansta-Giannis-Collins with Jones as your 6th man, Jalen Smith as your primary backup big, Okoro as a defensive stopper off the bench, Miller as a seemingly emerging 3/4, andddd....Patrick Williams. PG- Giddey/Jones SG- Simons/Okoro SF- Dybansta/Williams PF- Giannis/Miller C- Collins/Smith
  2. Let's pretend the Bulls do win the lottery. Hypothetically speaking, would you try to trade 15 and maybe even a future 1/some of the 2s for a proven player? Idk if I'd go all in on Giannis or not, but maybe a player like Michael Porter Jr or someone of similar stature. Or would that be a year too soon? Would you try for Giannis? How much would you give up? Would you give up Matas? Is Giddey-Giannis-Dybansta/Peterson a good enough "Big 3" to win a title?
  3. Speaking of projections, it seems like after the top 6 or so, projections seem to be all over the board. Seems like it's a good thing. That 2nd round pick might bring back something of value as well.
  4. I like Mara and lot, but I'd be a lot happier if he was the pick at 15. Bulls have needed a rim defender for years now and this would give them that. I know Matas has been a blocks machine but he still doesn't feel like a "Rim defender" to me.
  5. What's kinda crazy is Deni was kinda trash the first 3 years and didn't become a star till his 6th year in the league. Had that timeline played out here fans would not be happy with him at 4 either.
  6. This is true. You'd think at the highest level with the chance to make ridiculous sums of money, you would get it a guy who wants to consistently dominate buttttt.... I love Caleb Wilson, and I think he'd be a good fit for the team and Chicago could have some fun with the Caleb W and Caleb W stuff. I'd gladly take the 4th pick. I think my ideal situation would be getting Wilson at 4, the best scoring guard available at 15/16, and then Wilson's teammate Veesaar(?) at 36.
  7. Suns are 1-9 in their last 10 while Portland is 11-5 over their last 16. Obviously it's 1 game and anything can happen but Portland has definitely been the hotter team.
  8. Dybansta seems to be the favorite at #1, but am I wrong in thinking Peterson would be the best fit. What do we think about Boozer or Wilson pairing with Matas? I know we're counting chickens here, but its just talk.
  9. If they can trade him, that's huge, if not, he's just a quality defender off the bench. It is what it is right now. ....... Portland beat the Clippers yesterday which was a huge game. They're now tied in the standings with 1 game to go and Portland owns the tie breaker. Portland plays the Kings who are currently tied for the worst record in the West and will probably do their best to lose that game......Blazers have been pretty hot recently, so unless they decide to straight up tank 2 games in the play in, #15 should go to the bulls.
  10. There are probably worse #9s on good teams. He may not even be that if everything goes right. His salary is an albatross for sure, but he's still quality defensively.
  11. Tre Jones is low key really good at basketball. That's one of very few wins for AKME. Leonard Miller looks like a solid future piece too. A bench of Jones, Miller, Sticks, and Williams is already in place for next year. I keep squinting and seeing a potentially really good team next year if the basketball gods are with us.
  12. I didn't listen to the presser, but one of your quotes said they would be cast a large net, correct? So there would be a search right? While forcing Billy onto the new GM is backwards, I don't necessarily think it's wrong. Especially with Malone being gone Billy still has to be one of the top candidates out there if not THE top HC candidate available should he be made available.
  13. Isn't Justin just a minority owner? Can't he sell his share and take full ownership of the Bulls??? Not gonna happen butttttt..... I really do think Billy has a great basketball mind. It'd seem very Riensdorfian to just promote the coach into a front office roll, but i think I'd support it.
  14. Can Michael also sell the team to Ishbia??? Should be a very interesting offseason. 100m under the 1st apron, potentially 3 top 40 picks in a supposed DEEP draft.... Go blazers.
  15. Will it be a long journey if that happens? If everything goes right it SHOULD be a quick turnaround. Imagine winning the lottery and drafting Dybansta, imagine getting 15 and drafting a guy like Stienbach, Quaintance, Mara, or Cenac to play center.... and then signing Peyton Watson, Benedict Mathurin, orrrrr Coby. If Dybansta is who everyone hopes, how good can something like Giddey-Watson-Dybansta-Matas-Mara be?
  16. On a positive note, Portland is currently out of the lottery with 4 games to go. It won't happen but 2 top 15 picks in a good draft and a good chunk of cap space could make the GM job look pretty good to someone new.
  17. With all the talk being about DE, and the seemingly good DT class in the draft, I haven't looked into any of the free agent DTs.... John Franklin-Meyers would be a really good "Under the radar" signing. I put that in quotes because he's not really a big name, but he's been pretty damn productive. I think right now, I'd like to see em sign JFM AND draft Kayden Mcdonald. JFM can really get after the QB and McDonald should be a really good NT. It sounds like a lot, but give me JFM, Cam Jordan(1yr), Byard, and Decker.....Depending on how much more cap gymnastics they wanna do, I'd love to add Anzalone as well. Hated that dude in Detroit, but he'd be a great replacement for Edmunds.
  18. Yeah, he's not very good. I look forward to Ben getting our TEs matched up on him.
  19. Am I alone in my start Austin Booker campaign? Guy was 72nd in pressures last year, BUT he only played 10 games. No one im the top 100 played less than 12....The only player above him that played in 12 games is Khalil Mack. Dude doesnt turn 24 until December. Does he need to improve against the run??? Absolutely. Maxx Crosby, who Booker had gotten comps to, was awful his first 2 years against the run and now he's elite. I'm not saying dont add a DE, but i dont necessarily think you need a clear cut starter over Booker. Maybe Cam Jordan comes relatively cheap and would be a good fit with the young Booker.
  20. They did just draft a center last year, so theres that. That being said, pretty underwhelming. He was Joe Thuneys college roommate, so maybe that helps.
  21. I think the fact that they moved Thuney to LT for that final game tells me they do see someeee importance in LT. I really think Decker makes all the sense in the world, and I wonder if he'd come cheaper than we think. Give me Decker and Linderbaum...Bring back Byard and Demarco Jackson... ideal world you get a DT, S, DE, and LB with your 4 picks in the first 3 rounds. Also, while im here, anyone else think Booker can be a good starting DE? Dude is still younger than some of the top DEs in the draft....id love if they signed Trey or traded for Maxx, but i might be one of the few who wouldn't be upset if they didnt.
  22. Yeah with all the holes they have right now it'd be huge. If they decide to go big game hunting, they may have to rely on that comp pick being a guy somewhere.
  23. I'd rather they extend/restructure him. Like others have said i think he plays his role perfectly in this offense. I wouldnt be surprised to see even more 13 personnel this year with Colston being used as a pseudo WR, and Cole getting more time as a reciever.
  24. They better not win the next one. Portland is 2 wins away from being out of the lottery and the bulls finally getting that pick. Bulls currently have a 20% chance at getting a top 4 pick.
  25. With the lottery now likely and dreams of a top 4 pick, this Duke vs UNC game should be a fun watch. Booker is the more fundamental player, but man Caleb Wilson is fun to watch! I think CW has more upside.
