  1. 1 out for Bobby.
  2. 100 for Bobby, lay the hook in.
  3. Come on Bobby, good call by Ozzie.
  4. Game over, Shingo blows it. Not really his fault, but nonetheless.
  5. 3-2, 2 out bases loaded this is the game for Shingo, come on.
  6. Hurry up Shingo I want to watch the top of the 9th for the Sox.
  7. Man, it feels so weird watching Shingo in blue and orange rather than black and white. 2 out for Shingo.
  8. I am rooting for Shingo here so bad.
  9. Bobby gets the easy soft liner to Konerko.
  10. I love watching Bobby pitch more than any other pitcher I have seen. Just the chance to see a guy 101-102 mph is exciting.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 11:50 AM) Someone's in their free agent year stretch drive! Even if it results in him going to a different team after this season, at least he's contributing so much to this team. He will be the Sox's top priority in Free Agency. He is a top 5 first baseman, a big leader on this team and as close to a superstar hitter as we have.
  12. Timo get him over. Nice job.
  13. Next inning is huge for Brandon: Renteria, Ortiz and Manny at least. If he can get out of the next inning allowing only 1 run or none, we should be set. Paulie!!!!
  14. QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) Another personal attack. How is that a personal attack? I have heard he wasn't a very nice guy and when I met him he was not very friendly to me or the other people around me.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) I know others disagree w/me, but I wouldn't worry about Furcal. He's going to get a ton of money this offseason, and I can't see us getting into a bidding war with the Cubs for him. Considering his agent is Aramis Ramirez's agent, and they're close friends.....it leads me to believe that if the Braves don't bring him back, he'll be playing for the Cubs next year. Not to get into a bash Cubs thing or look towards next year one, but if we throw similar money at Furcal, I think Ozzie latin influence and the fact that the Cubs have Dusty and all day games could bring him here. Especially if we do well in the playoffs, we could be very popular.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) For some reason, that just made me think of Jim Parque. Not only was Parque terrible, but I heard he was a jackass,
  17. Brandon is pitching so well up in the zone today, so far very few middle of the zone fastballs. Most of them are above the letters.
  18. Juan performing well is bitter sweet to me. I want him to do well for the sake of the team, but the better he performs, the more Kenny and Ozzie love him and the less likely we will go after Furcal. Unless, we went after Furcal and moved Uribe to 3b, which would be a logical move to me.
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 11:37 AM) He'd have the biggest ass of a Little League player since Sean Burroughs. Juan has a huge ass and when he bats it looks even bigger the way he stands at the plate.
  20. Is Brandon really only throwing 86 mph or is it the gun at Fenway?
  21. back to Ozzie ball: good pitching, defense, hitting the homer, but not relying on it and bunting. Ahh, it's beautiful. Let's hope Brandon can get 2-3 more innings and give it to Cotts, Politte and Hermy.
  22. Timo hits well in Fenway and hits Schilling well, so hopefully he'll do well. I would rather have Cassanova in catching because he caught B-Mac through his recent hot streak and saw Schill in AAA.
  23. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 05:20 PM) Owens /= impact outfielder. His OBP is BA heavy, and he doesn't for a whole lot of slugging. He'll have to hit .300 to be effective. Can he do it? He might, but even if he does, I doubt his line will be much better than .300/.350/.375... If Podsednik was an all-star, even if it was final vote, Owens has the potential to be there.
  24. I would say 5-8 because. We have 4 impact outfielders with all-star potential (Owens, Sweeney, Young and Anderson, 3 lefties who are very good (Liotta, Haigwood and Gio, then a very good SS in Valido and Jenks might still be considered a prospect and finally McCarthy who had looked outstanding lately. What does everyone think?
