  1. Anyone liking him as the 3rd guy as much as me? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2005...tory?id=2192527
  2. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 07:27 AM) When it is one call, it goes away quickly. I cannot remember a series where the umpiring has been such a factor and all one sided. If this was happening against the Sox, instead of for the Sox, we would be enraged they aren't showing it enough. I don't think any team has a fan base with more of a chip on our shoulders than the White Sox. We should be the first group to understand the coverage and the Angel fan's angst. We have benefited from calls, it doesn't seem to be even. We have also created our own "luck" and made these chances pay off. That is the mark of a championship team. As it was pointed out once by Buck and the crew, yes, we've gotten a few breaks. However, the umpires weren't the ones to throw the 0-2 pitch to Joe Crede Wednesday. The umpires weren't the ones that rolled the solid double play. The umpires weren't the ones that got Pods around to score last night. The Sox are doing it.

  4. Count wants to get another streak going. Let's just get 5 more.
  5. Every game we've won. I've been wearing my "cool" shirt, and my White Sox ski hat and shorts. I've been sitting in this chair on the side of the couch, and refuse to touch the couch during games. Also, I've drank 2 glasses of water out of my White Sox mug every game. The one game I didn't do this ritual, we lost, and I was in Chicago for the game.
  6. This is just incredible. Awesome game by FG. The offense showed up again. Let's get 5 more W's.
  7. I'm pretty sure I just heard "Thunderstruck" in the stadium when they came back from the commercial.
  8. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:50 PM) Yes the call was missed. Great post Rex. Fox, ESPN, and the rest of the world will unfortunately only see this much of that post.
  9. Ouch. LOL, what a f***ed up ending.
  10. WOW USC. 1:23 left, USC going to try to take this back.
  11. ND just got a TD...31-28 Irish; 2:04 remaining.
  12. QUOTE(danman31 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 05:24 PM) Laugh it up. Who honestly thought IU would be thinking of playing 12 this year? That's a huge step in the right direction.
  13. Getting close... Pods, LF Iguchi, 2B Dye, RF PK, 1B Everett, DH Rowand, CF AJ, C Crede, 3B Uribe, SS Garcia, RHP http://whitesoxpride.mlblogs.com/inside_th..._4_pregame.html
  14. QUOTE(Purdue129 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 04:54 PM) As a NW fan I would be dissapointed that they only won by 5... Purdue's setting themselves up for a serious beatdown by the Hoosiers I'm hoping we can get 1 win before that Purdue game. It'd be awesome to go into the Oaken Bucket game fighting for a bowl berth.
  15. ND's wearing the greens. Hopefully they can change this trend, but they're always awful in these.
  16. 10 minutes later, dagger. At least this game kept me occupied for 3.5 hours.
  17. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) Told ya so... Indy has 50 pass attempts, and 0 sacks (there may be one, but there was a penalty, so I'm not sure.) Iowa's D-Line = Worst in the Big Ten. Beat that Illinois! I'd love to steal this. We'll see. All I was saying is that we could have no problem beating the spread. So far, so good, lol.
  18. QUOTE(hi8is @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) according to ESPN news and the angles box office, the start time is now 4:35 pacific... thats 6:35 central. this time is also now listed on the main chisox.com page. that means the gates for BP now will open at 2:35 Wow, good catch. It'll still probably start closer to 7, w/ the way Fox is.
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) How about a 2005 sequal to 8 Men Out, where a close-knit plucky group of 25 players redeems an entire franchise by bringing a world series trophy back to Chicago? Along the way there are some scares as the team almost blows a 15 game lead, there is excitement as some of the unlikeliest guys play heroes, and even some controversy happens, but in the end the Good Guys win. Fever Pitch 2.
  20. Neither team is looking great, but it's 17-7 Iowa over Indiana at the half. James Hardy needs to forget about basketball. He only played football his senior year of high school, but it's obviously his sport.
  21. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 12:40 PM) So is it 7pm Chicago time or 7pm Los Angelrs time? I will get the hang of this one day. 7 pm Chicago time. It's 12:45 PM right now.
  22. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 11:25 AM) If you want to be technical, we were 2 games away in 83 because it was a 5 game ALCS series then. And 2 away in '93. Oh well...I still like our chances!
  23. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 11:13 AM) I don't care what it ends up costing us unless we lose Konerko or Garland because of him....that's the 1 man I want back next year. I don't care who's roster spot he takes up. ^^^ I know it's selfish, and may not be the best option. However, I can't see Frank play anywhere else but Chicago. Right now, it sounds like he's going to be able to continue playing; it's got to be in a White Sox uni.
