  1. QUOTE(56789 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 10:18 PM) Im still trying to figure out how a white sox winner thread turned into talk about seeing some other dudes penis... I've seen wierder stuff than this in my time here.

    QUOTE(GASHWOUND @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) Anybody see that new FX show with the guy who did Super Size Me? I just watched the 'Minimum waged' ep and it was pretty good. He went to live in Columbus, Ohio and had to live on min wage for a month and it just exposed alot of s***. #1, don't get sick.. If you're makin 7 bucks an hour and have no health insurance??? Yikes You're screwed. Funny thing is he worked an 11 hour day and got paid 45 bucks for the day working landscaping, painting houses and such..man It's pretty good If you're, say, 30 and trying to make a living doing crap jobs like that...........YOU'RE SCREWED! This is no more demonstrative than that stupid "Super Size Me" movie was. What idiot eats McDonalds fatburgers for 3 meals a day and doesn't exercise? Yeah I know they're out there but darwinism takes good care of those people. This guy is so good at pointing out the obvious. "Don't eat too much junkfood or you'll get fat and die." No s*** sherlock, I only heard that from my mother about a million times when I was little. "Get a good education or you'll be working s***ty jobs for bum paychecks the rest of your life." Hell, my HS guidance counselor gave me that advice and I didn't have to sit in front of a TV watching Captain Obvious live it out for me on some dumb reality show.
  6. QUOTE(flippedoutpunk @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) perv..... :headshake LOL!!! You're one to talk.
  7. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) Rack up them wins is all I have to say. Keep the winning streak alive for some more games, get about 10 game lead and keep playing hard. I am glad Hermy is throwing first pitch strikes again and Neal Cotts just keep dominating. KW go get us a BP arm and a starter if need. I will take any win, s***ty or not. Isin't it funny how people here said Hermey was finished after 1 bad outing?
  8. QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 07:31 PM) Just hearing from other teams fans. Frank will mess up our chemistry :headshake If anything ,I think KONG is more negative to this teams chemistry in his pinkie than frank is in his whole body. Right now there is nobody who you can honestly call negative to our chemistry. -Carl could whine about not getting to play every day but he doesn't. He's happy to be here and he just wants to win. I would talk about more players but the sentence about Carl pretty much sums up everyone's attitude.
  9. EAT s*** ROYALS!!!!! You think you can catch us?!?!? You think you can come into our house, OUR HOUSE, and beat us?!!!?!?!? I dont think so YOU MISERABLE SCRUBS!!!! GIMMIE A HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. ONE MORE INNING!!! ONE MORE AND WE ESCAPE WITH A HARD FOUGHT WIN. DO IT!!!
  11. Unless Dollar Bill sells the team all the GM position's job description consists of is lighting Dollar Bill's cigars, shining his shoes and pouring his cheap scotch for him. This is a non-event.
  12. If we go out there and handle our business then Cleveland and Minnesota can make all the noise they want to but we will still finish first. We win our games and the rest will sort itself out.
  13. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 08:16 AM) I agree with you. What would the mood of this board be if the Sox won 12 of 13 and still were 8 1/2 out? Probably pretty sour as that would mean we had a crappy start. Id rather not think about hypothetical stuff, especially negative hypothetical stuff.
  14. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 08:08 AM) They very well might. They might even finish 2nd at the end of the season. I just don't think so. They are starting a stretch until the ASB that kind of resembles the White Sox August schedule. 6 against Boston, travel to Baltimore for 3 and travel to the Yankees for 4. Their only break is a 3 game series at home with Cincinatti, which is a pretty decent rivalry, even if the Reds are struggling. If they stay hot for this stretch, or at least come out of it less than 10 out, I may believe they have a chance, even then only slim. If the White Sox only played .500 the rest of the season, they win 93. I can't see Cleveland winning 93. If they end up in second its only because Minnesota has been falling apart as of late.
  15. QUOTE(WHITESOXRANDY @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 07:01 AM) All teams seem scary when they are on fire. Winning 12 of 13 is impressive. But, we all know that they will cool off. Right now, at 8 1/2 back, we do not need to worry. However, that can change easily. If they get within 5-6 games, then we need to be concerned. Regardless, we must play better than.500 against them. We've handled the Indians pretty easily this season. I see no reason to get upset about them.
  16. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) This was probably discussed in the game thread, but am I the only one that thought it was strange to have Frank pinch hit leading off an inning? It certainly worked, but to me Frank should be up there to drive in runs, not set the table. Having him pinch hit for Willie who was due up third that inning. I know Frank walks a lot, but if you use him as they did tonight, you have to burn two players. That could eventually haunt them if they tie the game instead of winning it. Ozzie took a chance that they'd pitch around him and they did, basically giving us a free baserunner. That was a brilliant move.
  17. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 10:06 PM) clickable, for your pleasure I have a rule though, we don't use this baby until the sweep is complete... otherwise, it's a jinx... deal? Fair enough.
  18. QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 09:49 PM) Frank should start at least 75 % of the games I think it'd be cool if Frank Dye and Carl can rotate around the RF/DH slots with one getting a day off one day while the other 2 play. That way we get the maximum amount of playing time for all 3 players. Having 3 hot bats in the lineup vying for 2 slots? What a nice problem to have.
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) Ya, Joe Morgan was really complimenting them. Hell, I was looking at my dad going when are they going to talk about the Dodgers. They spent almost as much time talking about the Flubbs as the Sox. That really annoyed me.
  20. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) FRANK FOCKING THOMAS BABY He scared the crap out of those BASTAGES with his very presence. LOL
  21. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 09:00 PM) Watching Frank draw the walk was vintage 1993. Even today is scares the s*** out of pitchers. Amazing. He still looks like he's ready to hit a pitch a mile and a half. He's totally imposing up there.
  22. QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) Amazing! Here's my question. Can Cliff win 20 this year? (green optional) Id laugh like hell if he did. LOL
  23. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) jumping the gun...but we do...sweepage. You can thank Willie for that one. f***er fell on his ass LOL
