I think that if Kenny gets a deal for Colon, he deserves some credit from his critics for giving the team two established pitchers. I'm not calling for Kenny's head just yet, the team hasn't had a losing record in his two years (of course, they haven't been in the race for the division either), and there are other teams who are in much worse situations than the Sox (Detroit, KC, Baltimore...) Course Kenny may not get Colon, and if that happens, well he better be prepared for anything this season...they could pull off a 2000 95-win season, or meander in AverageLand the whole year. It's a good thing February has only 28 days...that much closer to spring training!

I think that a possible deal for Colon would tip the collective opinion on the sox' chances for the season in a favorable direction. With this team right now, there are so many of us on the fence...I think the team is good, but Colon is a proven Ace and bump alot of fencesitters (myself included) off the fence. As to the price we'd have to pay, i agree that the asking price is sliding down a bit, especially if the BoSox are too far apart. Hopefully, Kenny can bite the bullet and put himself on the line for the fans. First post btw, so i wanted to know how the avatars work. I tried adding one but the picture didn't show up.
