  1. The only good thing is IIRC there aren't any other goalies on the market left... so if someone needs one Habby will be available.
  2. Wow thats just screwy that he would sign Huet and not already have a deal set to deal Habby.
  3. If I am right aren't the Hawks now over the cap?
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 04:38 PM) That's nothing... Wait, they get longer... Seriously, we just locked up a franchise blueliner, the type that nets you a Stanley Cup, a captain... for what amounts to a steal at 7 million per. Look at Chelios playing well into his mid-40s, and Cambell will be just 37 in the final year of this deal. I'm very fine with this. Oh I realize this to be the case its just surprising they would offer a hockey player that many years....doesn't matter Tallon got his man!!
  5. Hawks are keeping Habby.....WTF?? He just told Pang it makes a great duo....we are keeping him. This would make absolutely no sense. I assume its a smoke screen to try and up Habby's value somehow.
  6. It amazes me though... how the hell can you give an 8 yr contract ??
  7. Campbell a Hawk 8 years 56 mill According to Stuy's board This is a lot better than I expected it to be.
  8. Redden to Dallas? Berger just said on Fan590 again that Dallas is the front runner with a 5 year deal. Redden wants a 6 year deal, but he has already spoken with Turco. If this happens Boucher is all but gone.
  9. I seen this and laughed but how true is this? If only the other GMs would think this way. A GM said to TSN just mins ago (unamed) this market is just to rich for me. I'm going home. This is insane. The money being thrown around is insane!"
  10. I would like to see the Hawks work out something for Bouwmeester....
  11. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 03:31 PM) Reading the fourth period report. They say for who?
  12. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 02:27 PM) Bulin to Kings Speculation or done deal?
  13. Ottawa signs goaltender Alex Auld
  14. Spezza is just a day dream lol
  15. toronto talking to Redden / McCabe on way out fan590
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 03:11 PM) What is that? http://stuy.proboards51.com/index.cgi
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 02:08 PM) There are so many people on the Hawks board that it's hard to even get on there and follow signings and trades. That's why I keep going to Stuy's board.
  18. The Hawks home page hasn't reported the Huet deal yet which gets me thinking Habby is gone they are just finalizing it. I hope.
  19. Sounds like most think its Ottawa that will get Habby. If its not a deal for Spezza hopefully its Vermette.
  20. Would anyone do a Frolov and Priessing for Habby and Keith??
  21. One would have to think DT already has a deal in place to ship off Habby right?
  22. Here is the contract #'s 5.625/yr for 4
  23. Here is a little more... The Chicago Blackhawks have signed goaltender Cristobal Huet to a contract. Huet, 32, finished with a 32-14-6 record and 2.32 goals-against average this season with a .920 save percentage between Washington and Montreal. The Canadiens dealt Huet to the Capitals in February, electing to go with Carey Price as their starting goaltender. Huet was in the final year of a two-year contract and became an unrestricted free agent on July 1. Huet has played 183 career games in the NHL. He posted a 83-61-24 record, a 2.43 goals against average and a .918 save percentage. He posted an 11-2 record in 13 career games with the Capitals, with a 1.63 goals against average and a .936 save percentage.
  24. How about Habby for Spezza??
