  1. The most interesting thing about the Huet thing now is where will Habby go and for what?
  2. Stuy was just saying the Huet thing looks to be a done deal. BREAKING NEWS: Cory Stillman agrees to terms with Florida on a three year deal for $10.6 million. Cristobal Huet has signed with Chicago. Details to follow.
  3. Habby could go to the Yotes as well. Nevermind I forgot they got Bryz.

  5. Caps Sign Theodore; Huet to Chicago? (Updated) In a surprising move, the Caps have signed free agent goaltender Jose Theodore to a two-year contract. The team had been discussing a three-year contract extension with Cristobal Huet, but the sides couldn't close the deal this afternoon. "It just fell apart," Huet's agent, Stephen Bartlett, told Ken Campbell of The Hockey News. "We just hit a couple snags that we couldn't work through." Update: The deal with Theodore is for $9 million ($4.5 each season). That's obviously less cash and a shorter term than the three-year, $15 million the Caps had been discussing with Huet. Update:I just heard from a source that Huet asked the Caps for three years, $15 million and the Caps offered it to him. But Huet then said he wanted test the market today and see what might be out there. Now it's looking like he'll sign a four year deal with Chicago for $5.6 million
  6. If Huet does sign here you can be sure Habby is gone. I would like to see Boyle. I know DT was after him last year IIRC. Tampa just signed Kolzig so I don't know if Tampa would need Habby now though.
  7. Seen this on Stuy's so TIFWIW. someone on hockeybuzz saying sportsnet reported huet close to signing with hawks?
  8. Man with some of these contracts being talked about...here comes a lockout/strike in 2011 or 12.
  9. Seen this on Stuy's board but I am sure it comes from Ek...if this is true DT better run away. Campbell is no Lidstrom. Brian Campbell asking price (E1) "According to a Source the asking price for Brian Campbell is beyond 70 million bucks. Teams with less than 70 need not apply."
  10. Talk about insane..... Quote: Sources tell TSN as many as four teams have table offers for the 37 year old, including one undisclosed team who has offered a whopping 10 million per year on a multi-year contract. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=2421...=topStory_main
  11. THE MINNESOTA WILD HAVE SIGNED FORWARD ANDREW BRUNETTE TO A MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT (TERMS NOT YET AVAILABLE) AND ACQUIRED DEFENSEMAN MAREK ZIDLICKY FROM THE NASHVILLE PREDATORS IN EXCHANGE FOR PROSPECT RYAN JONES AND A SECOND ROUND PICK IN 2009
  12. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 10:34 AM) That's false because the most a player can make under the cap is $11M. Well thats good to know but even that is insane.
  13. Seen this on Stuy's board.... "No more number 12....Rolston wears 12 doesn't he? Hmmmmmm".
  14. I'd be more inclined to try and unload Thome. Move Kong to DH and leave Swish at 1B.
  15. Supposedly there is a rumor that Boston is going to offer $12 per for Hossa.....if that is true its f***ing insane.
  16. Seen this on the main Hawks board. Fan 590 Speculating Chicago will come up with 1 of the top free agent d men and that Dale Tallon has a couple of trades that he is going to deliver. In my mind I will actually be shocked if the Hawks get either Hossa or Campbell. They always try for the top free agents but always seem to come up with the left overs.
  17. Just wanted to make it interesting I guess....Joe has got to get his head out of his ass.
  18. Geez if Joe loses his defense he is useless....
