Took this from the blues forum. Apparently was on XM Home Ice. Let me say if this is true its a terrible deal for the Hawks. We would be losing Havlat with Habby for a 2nd and 7th?? Appearently we have no need for offense anymore eh? Either that or DT has something up his sleeve because it would free up some pretty good cash. "The Blues are rumored to be interested in McCabe, Pressing, and the Blues maybe involved in a 3 team trade with Chicago and LA. Chicago is over the salary cap and LA is 14-16 million under the Salary floor. Which means they need to add 14 million in salary before the season begins. In a scenerio they laid out tonight on Powerplay: LA would receive Khabibulan and Mckee Chicago would receive StL 2009 2nd round pick, LA 2009 7th round pick St. Louis would receive M Havlat (6mil 2008/09) and Tom Pressing" http://forums.stlblues.com/index.php?showtopic=5753 -

I would think maybe Masset would replace him? Is there really any other choice besides maybe a deal? -

God listening to the people on CTL is going to get annoying...the way they are stroking cause the Scrubs got Harden.

http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=242732&lid...s=topStory_main The Calgary Flames have announced they have signed the power forward to a one-year contract. "Todd is a proven scorer with the ability to play both wings," said Flames GM Darryl Sutter in a statement. "He expressed to us that he wanted to play in Canada and that desire along with signing him to a one year deal was important to our philosophy. He wanted to play on a good team and it fit our money. Additionally, our captain, Jarome Iginla, was a strong supporter of Todd and wanted him on our team." Bertuzzi signed a two-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks last year, but was recently bought out by the team - once again making him an unrestricted free agent. The native of Sudbury, Ontario played in just 68 games for the Ducks last season, missing time with a concussion early in the season. Bertuzzi marked 14 goals and 26 assists last season, while also amassing 97 penalty minutes. Bertuzzi's best season occured in 2002-03, when he scored 46 goals, 51 assists and was named to the First NHL All-Star team. Bertuzzi's career took a downward turn in 2004, when he was suspended indefinitely by the league for deliberately injurying the Avalanche's Steve Moore. In June 2006, Bertuzzi was traded to the Florida Panthers in a blockbuster package that brought Roberto Luongo back to Vancouver and was engineered by then-Panther GM, and current Flames head coach, Mike Keenan. However, a herniated disk in his back limited Bertuzzi to just seven games with the Panthers and he was eventually traded to the Detroit Red Wings, where he played just eight more games. -

I still don't get why Wrigley? You can get so many more people in Soldier Field instead or if they wanted to get nuts they should try the race track here in Joliet. -
4:54PM EST: Jon Heyman weighs in on the impending Sabathia deal, stating that the Indians have been trying to pry top shortstop prospect Alcides Escobar away from the Brewers as well. Heyman re-affirms that the Brewers would like a deal complete as soon as possible, in order to get two starts from Sabathia - one Tuesday and one Sunday - before the All-Star Break. No mention of the unconfirmed report of the deal being completed from Heyman just yet.

Sabathia: Possibly A Done Deal? By Steve Adams [July 6 at 1:58pm CST] 4:15PM EST: CastroTurf, an Indians blog at the MLB Blogs Network, takes Rosenthal's rumor one step further, citing a "Major League source," that says a trade with the Brewers and Indians for C.C. Sabathia has been "completed." If correct, the trade is indeed centered around Double-A outfielder Matt LaPorta, though the other two prospects are not yet named. Further updates as soon as they are available.

the star 940 is making claims that the Hawks are trying to move high priced forward Martin Havlat. Teams rumored to be intrested are Vancouver, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Atlanta, and not to rule out Edmonton or Montreal. Take it for what it is worth.... seen this one Stuy's board. Depending on what DT would get back for him it might be alright. He better get some scoring punch. -
