There are just a ton of rumors right now. Supposedly hes only getting $600k per year more. Going to have to wait and see, I get the feeling that Alvarez may actually coach the Rose Bowl. There is supposedly a state law that requires Wisconsin to post notice of the job for 30 days, so no hiring can be done quick. -

http://host.madison.com/sports/college/foo...l#ixzz2E7osOVBb Good luck with that Arkansas. The guy literally did not know some of the college football rules, but you are going to write him a blank check. This should end well. (edit) http://www.espn760.com/common/more.php?m=49&post_id=5781 Another funny quote: If you cant take the heat at Wisconsin, go to Arkansas with unrealistic SEC championship dreams? -

I wish I could get the contract numbers. People are floating 5.5mil per season, but I think that was the Les Miles offer. Id expect Bielema to be offered less than that. -

The part that makes no sense is that in the SEC recruiting is really important and that hasnt been Bielema's strength. He was already being paid top 20 money at Wisconsin, I just do not believe he is a top 20 coach. There have to be 20 guys better than him. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 03:23 PM) True story, I just looked over your 2013 list and not much there unless Iowa wants to grab a few midwestern OL. Mixed reactions on the Badger board, alot of anger some saying he peaked. Strange times. The entire conference is almost completely turned over from a coaching standpoint outside of Iowa over the last several years. Weird. If youve read this board you know that I dont love Bielema. So Im kind of shocked. I just thought Bielema was smart enough to take his $3mil check for the next 20 years and be a Wisconsin legend. Who knew that for an extra few mil hed risk it all to try and coach at Arkansas. -

The good news for Wisconsin is that Bielema never killed it at recruiting. So they can come sniffing around, but literally the best Wisconsin has for next year is 4*s. Even if the class falls apart Wisconsin seemingly does better with unknown walk-ons. -

I more meant guys like Bostad who was going to be the OC at Wisconsin when Chryst left, but then went to Pitt and now is at Tampa. If he had stayed at Wisconsin there is a good chance he would be the HC for the Rose Bowl, and then possibly keep the job. Because there was so much turnover you have to imagine that Wisconsin is going to look outside of the program. I am kind of expecting Bielema to take Ash and Canada with him. Should be interesting to see who they hire as they have a good amount of talent for next year. -

Im meh on the news. I dont really like Bielema, but at the same time you dont like the uncertainty that comes with a coaching change. I am not sure what the Badgers will do, they are the one school that already has their best option on the payroll, Barry Alvarez, its just a question of whether he wants to coach again. Otherwise expect Paul Chryst and some other ex-Badger coaches to be names on the list. A lot of people are going to be kicking themselves. -

Wisconsin to the Rose Bowl is just an extreme fluke. That being said, they did obliterate Nebraska, so I am not really going to apologize to much. Especially as I think there is a hilarious chance they beat Stanford. -

Transitive property doesnt work that way in college sports. Otherwise you come up with North Dakota State is better than Notre Dame (ND only beat Pitt by 3 points, Youngstown State beat Pitt by 14, Youngstown lost to ND State 48-7). I havent seen NIU, so I cant say whether they could hang with FSU. -

Coached at Wisconsin, good for him. Strangely I never liked his coordinating calls. -

I think there is going to be a lull until North Carolina and Virginia get sorted out. The only other idea is that the Big10 is really going to 18, and will be splitting the conference into 2 (basically old big v new big). -

So it seems that a lot of people are starting to run with a GT to Big10 story. From what I can tell its all coming from an online blogger that has been way off. -

Bo Ryan blew it. No idea what he is doing right now. -

Wisconsin is in complete disarray unless Bo Ryan was jobbing to Tony Bennett. Bo just needs to free Sam Dekker. I dont know how much longer this can go on, something will have to give. -

Bo needs to stop arguing about meaningless timeouts and worry about coaching. I usually trust him, but these games have just been odd. -

Well I was more saying top 5 player in program history shouldnt be spending significant time on the bench while George Marshall and Traevon Jackson go 4-12 from the field. -

Yeah. Bo Ryan is really screwing Wisconsin right now. Hes letting a bunch of jokes jack up 3s when Sam Dekker is maybe the most talented player that has ever stepped on a Wisconsin basketball court. -

George Marshall is about to learn how you find yourself on Bo Ryans bench. Quick 3 and then soft under a screen. -
I know, for some reason I think its going to hilariously happen tomorrow.
-
That would make a lot more sense then ruining a game because a coach is dumb. The real question is, can coaches be so stupid that this happens again?
-
It should be penalty, but not negate the automatic review.
-
Schwartz is an idiot. Also the NFL is overreacting here. Its not very hard to understand the rule of "automatic challenge".
