  1. Balta, That stat is so meaningless. What are Boston/Piston pace statistics, do they play as quick as other teams? Do they overall keep opponents to lower points? SS2k, Oh come on, that is ridiculous. Nothing that Balta posted conclusively shows that it was Hamilton or Allen even predominantly guarding Wade. For all we know 70% of the time Rondo was on Wade.
  2. You guys have a ton of faith in Butler, I like him, I just am not going to put my Championship hopes on a rookie who primarily played forward in college. As for Hamilton/Allen, dont like either of them on Wade, I prefer Brewer. I just dont see why the Bulls would need to trade Brewer.
  3. SS2k, Butler may be able to guard bigger sg's its hard to tell because at Marquette he played more SF/PF than a guard. Balta, Im not talking about success. Right now the Bulls are arguably one of the top 5 teams in the NBA. Any move I am thinking of making would be dependent on getting farther in the playoffs. Right now the Heat are the biggest road block. I do not feel comfortable with Allen/Rose/Hamilton guarding Wade on a consistent basis. Im not sure Butler is designed to guard Wade either. Therefore the Bulls need at least 1 guard who can defend Wade and to me thats Brewer (on the Bulls right now). If I am going to add offense, it would not be at Brewer's expense. Brewer's value to the Bulls should be much higher than it is to other teams, thus they should trade an asset that has less value to them, but more value to others. At least thats what I would do.
  4. And trading brewer significantly hurts defense, which is still what the Bulls are about.
  5. All things being considered if I could add 1 Celrtic, it would be KG. ( I didnt mean the Celtics would do Boozer for KG straight up, just that in a deal for KG youd have to add some salary like Boozer) Allen would be great to spread the floor etc, but having KG would really help the Bulls against the Heat. Heat have a strong back court, Allen/Rose on the floor would mean that 1 of them is likely going to have to guard Wade. I doubt the Bulls get any of them, but if I could pick itd be KG (and he may consider resigning for a decent deal)
  6. Id be fine with KG and Allen. But no way can the Bulls make those salaries work, unless they send something like Boozer, Korver +. Id actually consider Boozer for KG because getting out from that Boozer contract is valuable.
  7. Last girl I lived with was after we dated a little more than 1 year.
  8. Its not a selling point, its a fact. they can be terribly streaky. Im not trying to pitch anyone on Wisconsin if they make the tournament their run will depend on them being able to shoot well. If they hit shots, theyll win, if they dont theyll lose. Not much else I can say, they basically are a super talented mid major this year.
  9. That is why no basketball stadium should ever have sound that indicates when the clock is running down (I dont even think its allowed in college). But its so stupid that in the NBA home teams have a song that speeds up as the shot clock goes down. All it does is give the non home team an advantage in knowing that the clock is running down. Always laugh at teams who do that (completely off topic).
  10. For the most part the reason they arent doing well is terrible shooting. Im pretty sure in the losses to Iowa/MSU they were combined something like 5-50 from 3. In other games theyve shot 40-50% from 3. Only against Marquette did Wisconsin look slow, they had a chance to beat UNC @ UNC.
  11. Wisconsin always looks slow because of the way they play. Almost no dribble drive and they play man to man on defense with help coming from the middle. That being said, this is not one of my favorite teams in terms of players.
  12. Dont worry Wisconsin will go 10 minutes without scoring to make sure this game is in the 50s.
  13. It has nothing to do with the NCAA, it has everything to do with access. In football the big conferences control the access to the games where the most money is paid out. If you create a tournament where "everyone has a chance" you give more teams access and therefore are likely to split the money more. The NCAA being more involved, generally means more access to everyone and thus the revenues being split more. If all bowl revenue was split between all conferences (even if its done by game, because game doesnt take into account whether its the Sunshine Bowl or the NC) the big conferences would get less money in the current system. Hence why they dont want to turn the BCS into the NCAA tournament.
  14. Rex, Look at the numbers I posted, "In 2012 the Big10 got over $40 mil from their 2 BCS games and another 10mil+ from other bowl games." http://articles.businessinsider.com/2011-0...ball-tournament Total payout for all conferences was 180mil, of which the Big10 received $18.5mil ($240k per game). The Big10 usually receives more money from 1 BCS game than the entire NCAA tournament payout.
  15. I dont really know of any 49er hate in Chicago. As a kid I loved Montana/Rice and they were one of my favorite teams. After the Bears most kids I knew were Dallas or 49er fans. Now, most people in Chicago still are ambivalent to the 49ers, whether it be they liked Singletary or they like Harbaugh, you generally dont hear bad things. The teams Chicago fans hate are Packers, Vikings and Lions, Id say indifference describes the rest of the league.
  16. Adidas can tell Howard how much bigger of a star he can be if they can make marketing campaigns about him in his own city, as compared to being in Rose's shadow. Who knows why Howard doesnt want to come to Chicago.
  17. Im pretty sure you should be blaming Adidas not Howard.

I understand. I just dont understand why people care whether others like Big Bang Theory or not.

I dont mind laugh tracks and I like The Big Bang Theory. I dont get why people argue so much over taste so much, some people like bad things, we just move on.
  20. Indiana is currently 3-3 in Big 10, Id venture to guess they finish 9-9. Id expect them to lose at least 3 away games (likely 3, Wisconsin, Purdue and Michigan, but Iowa/Minnesota are possible as well) and then lose at least 2 home games (likely MSU and 1 of ILL/PU). All things being considered, I can see them finishing as good as 11-7 (8-4 over final 12) or as bad as 8-10 (5-7 over final 12).
  21. ESPN screwed me by not allowing me to watch via espn3, saying I needed to activate it on my home computer (which I have previously done). Thus I had to find other ways to kill productivity.
  22. Packers defense was really bad. 300 ypg passing is not a coincidence. When you get in a game where the other team isnt playing catch up (like last night) less chance for turnovers and thus a perfect storm for a #1 seed to get beat.
  23. Watson may try and play some minutes. And the hope is games without Rose help the Bulls work with Rose off the floor, because there is always a chance 1 game he has foul trouble etc, and cant play a ton of minutes.
