QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 10:27 PM) what?? you hate Curry obviously and even things that he does positive you look down upon and just bring up what he didnt do.... its almost pathetic how you let your hate for a player that you dont even know get in the way of rational thinking. Curry isnt a rebounder thats a given, but there are plenty of players that are just scorers and they get paid a lot of money to do it. Im sorry but if all we have is your favorite Dalembert and Chandler... our offense is going to suck ass and we will be back to those 20 win seasons. While many of the Kirk lovers will disagree the biggest factor of this current team is Curry love or hate him. I don't know curry? I am willing to bet you just started watching the bulls again. I have been watching the the bulls before the dynasty ever since. I have missed maybe five games a year in the last 10 years. That may have been one of the most f***ing retarded things i have ever heard. I have said it many times you do not pay a player that does one thing well and everything else below average what he is gonna get. Players that are paid a s*** load of money to score can do something else other than just score. They can at least play decent to good to great defense alogn with passing..etc. Our offense already blows and if we got dalembert while trading curry for a pick or another cheap player we would obviously have many to upgrade else where. For whoever said that we have expected less from chandler than curry is bulls***. We expected curry to be a good scorer along with above average every else. Chandler was suppose to be one of the best big defensive minded players coming out of the draft in a while. He clearly did not get drafted because of his awesome offense. Like i said before his role on offense is to get soem put backs and go to the line. I along with every one else would like him to devlope a nice 15-18 foot shot but if that doesn't happen i will not cry over it. Both rodman and wallace had horrendous shots and are both some of the best defenders to ever play in the nba. Are you telling me you guys would take an eddy curry over either of those two players? if anyone does they are f***ing insane and need to get soem help. I know once more that someone will say ''well chandler is not either of those two players''. This may be true at this stage because of lack of minutes. You expand all of chandler''s minutes per 48 and then do the same with wallace guess whos is better? Now that i think about it maybe as a whole we did expect more out of curry considering who has has always been compared to and you can tell he has a s*** load of talent. Thing that is holding him back is he is as lazy as hell on the defensive side of the court.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 10:05 PM) oh if qwerty knows it must be right... because you know Eddy Curry personally and everything. :banghead Shy away from waht makes sense.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) The fact is Curry has tried this year he worked out just as much as Chandler did and while it might be his contract year you dont know its because of his contract year. Yes i do. It is as clear as day.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 08:10 PM) So you dislike Curry. We get it. But I'm not too happy about trading a former number one pick for a number two pick that "IS NOT AN OFFENSIVE OPTION." I mean, c'mon, learn a damn offensive move. He looks lost with the ball in his hands. Once again, Eddy being an offensive player allows Chandler to focus on defensive. If the Bulls can secure a viable center who will help them win and be a better option than Curry, than by all means make it happen. If not, then why let him go? Because some Bulls fans hate him? If he improved from last year to this year, he can make some more improvement. There's no rule that says he's going to suck in a non-contract year. The Bulls chose him with a number four pick. Let's not just waste that away. Centers aren't exactly easy to come by, and I only want to see him go if the right moves can be made to take care of that position. Hating on Eddy and glorifying Chandler isn't the best basketball talk either. Both have glaring deficiencies, and, frankly, I'm equally dissatisfied by both of them. I tolerate them when they help us win, and in my eyes what they bring to the team and their deficiencies are essentially equal. Good post, but you have to admit it is quite the coincidence that he gets in shape and has the best year of his nba career when a pay day is right around the corner.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Doh. I missed that. I believe we re-structured Politte's contract though. Let me look for it.
-
QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 11:06 PM) Well hopefully they can move Harris to create room for Ozuna to have a regular spot. What you mean? He is making the team either way and as a utility infielder either way.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 02:57 AM) NO! CURRY SUCKS! We don't need a true center on this team! :headshake When we find one let me know. Who compared pike's rebounding to curry's?

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 12:36 AM) I don't follow the Bulls as much as most of you -- will it, in the future, really be a situation where the Bulls will not be able to keep some of this current core? I love how Gordon and Deng and Hinrich and Curry and Chandler and the rest of them are doing, but won't they be getting awfully pricy (if they keep this up) in the next 4-5 years? Well by then curry and chandler will be up for a new contract since the cba will be shortening the contract lengths Hinrich? I like him but wouldn't mind if we get a new point guard by then. Four to five years from now i see the order of money they get like this... curry, chandler/deng ( think they will be really close), hinrich and then gordon unless he really developes some defense, passing, handles ( talking turnovers, like losing the ball, i know his dribbling skills are insane at times). Hell his basketball iq needs to improve period.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 12:30 AM) Maybe, maybe not. If Chandler's offense can improve, I don't see why Curry's defense can't improve. Is there any way we can just fuse Eddy and Tyson into one all-around great player? No one said it can't. But offense is generally easier to improve upon they defense is. Most really good defensive guys always have had it. Not all good shooters have always had a shot. Oh, and i agree about curry/chandler fusion.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 12:19 AM) What was the point of that link? One system that shows curry's contributions compared to others. Not all agree with it and i am not the biggest fan of it either ( the +/-) but it does have so,e damn interesting stats.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 12:16 AM) Great site. Those numbers mean nothing to me. I'd rather go by what I see on the court. Othella has been a positive, but those numbers overexaggerate his contributions. He gets the minutes he should be getting for a player of his caliber. Curry scoring well and the nothing else he does well means nothing to me. Guess we are even.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 12:09 AM) And Gordon can handle 40+, but we all know his defense is hindering him. Let's not throw in stamina into the discussion. No. He has said that he needs to work on conditioning in the summer. He knows the playing time is right around the corner he just needs to get the stamina and defense better.
-
Chandler by the way has the best stamina on the team right behind hinrich. He can easily go for 35 minutes per game.... gordon on the other hand has a problem with 30.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 12:02 AM) Yeah, Chandler is as skilled as Garnett. Nice comparison. :headshake Defensively? Yes. Offensively? No. You are acting like 30 pounds would be what he needs to be a good scorer. More like he needs and improved shot.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 11:58 PM) It can but he actually has to gain about 30 pounds of muscle. Tyson Chandler is not Ben Wallace so this post means nothing. Garnett needs to add 30 pounds too i guess. If you gave him 35 minutes per game he would.
-
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 11:58 PM) high-fives, towel-waves, and hand-claps :headshake

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) I will take a good post-up move and shot over waiting and hoping for put-backs and tip-ins. If Tyson doesn't get those, he doesn't score. Eddy's defense can improve. So you are saying you would take eddy curry over ben wallace?
-
Does anyone here know pikes role?
-
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 11:50 PM) You do realize Chandler isn't expected to score because Eddy does, right? Half of the max isn't enough though and you know that. Are we talking about Eddy or pike for that kind of money? I'll take pike back for half of half of what he's getting to high-five the guys as the come to the bench this year. Those are the only highlights I saw of him tonight. Once more many teams would kill to have pike on their team.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 11:49 PM) Chandler will never be the scorer under the basket that Curry is. Even though he's 7'1" he's only 235 pounds. He would have to seriously bulk up and learn a post-up move because all I see him do is stand under the basket and look for someone to pass the ball to. All we are looking for from chandler is to get easy put backs off of offensive rebounds and go to the line on occasion. We give him 35 minuts a game he will be just like ben wallace if you agree or not which many people do agree with that. If we get the same out of chandler as we get out of wallace no doubt in all hell that chandler would be >>> curry. Not many players in the nba more important to their team like wallace is. Defense wins championships.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 11:45 PM) Yeah, qwerty has a hardon for goofy white guys Ingram too, i like his waddle.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 11:43 PM) Yao leaves a lot to be desired too...Shaq is a freak, but only for a couple more years...Big Z is just waiting to suffer his next foot injury.. I saw improvement from Eddy this year, regardless of the inconsistent minutes...I think he can continue to improve...Let's keep him, but for THE RIGHT PRICE. Yao has improved each year... agreed on shaq... but there is no reason to believe that about ilgauskas.
