  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 2, 2015 -> 07:46 PM) Not based on his work this year. He doesnt have the temperamental makeup to survive media questioning him for more than 2-3 weeks, he's pretty much the anti Maddon/Showalter/Francona in that aspect. Who cares about his work this year? He's been with the Sox 27 years. One month doesnt mean anything. Extremely successful track record despite given no payroll to work with. Cooper absolutely deserves to finish out the year as manager, and make a decision from there, at the very least. The makeup is bulls***. Ozzie survived long enough here and he's way worse than Coop when it comes to that. It's actually helpful for a team with 0 national media exposure otherwise.
  2. QUOTE (Butter Parque @ May 2, 2015 -> 05:12 PM) Entire Coaching staff needs to go. That includes Coop. Buddy Bell also needs to go. Entire minor league staff needs to go. You cant go over a decade without developing a position player and expect to keep your job. This is like clown college. Cooper doesn't deserve to go. He deserves to be manager. The rest can go.
  3. No it's too soon to fire someone. No Tony Larussa. What are his strengths. Why is he one if the 30 or so great baseball minds?
  4. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 2, 2015 -> 10:59 AM) JB Shuck is the leadoff hitter. Robin Ventura
  5. No chance Ventura can survive this weekend if we lose one or both of the next two
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 1, 2015 -> 09:41 PM) Would have been out by 40 feet I would gladly play for the hope for a terrible throw offense at this point
  7. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 1, 2015 -> 06:39 PM) Eddie Goldman to Bears. Should be a nice space eater. Would have also been okay with the OT. His highlites tapes look scary good.
  8. QUOTE (scs787 @ May 1, 2015 -> 01:13 PM) The problem again being he's a headcase. How bad would it have looked to trade B for being a headcase of sorts only to replace him with DGB? I don't really follow the Bears too much I just meant it generally QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 1, 2015 -> 01:17 PM) No way can you possibly trust him to stay on the field and I don't see how you could easily rate Beckham #1 out of the WRs in this draft even based on his play on the field. He isn't particularly fluid running routes and his SPARQ rating his the lowest of the top WRs. He was also far less productive than guys like Parker and Cooper. He wasn't nearly as productive, true , many a reasons for that. Just saying he looked the part more when he was effortlessly dismantling secondaries with his size. Its just easier imagining that translating to the NFL easier than guys who are half a foot short under him. He's almost built like a TE lining up at WR, which is the new hotness. I don't think his SPARQ score means anything at all comparing it to the other guys when most of the other top WRs this year seem to be undersized to average size at best. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2015 -> 01:39 PM) Guys who are nothing but headaches in college, usually don't get any better in that regard when they have a couple of million to play with. Yeah that's why I would still wait until the second round but if that does clear up I expect him to be the best WR here.
  9. Judging solely on how they looked on the field in college, I would easily rate Green - Beckham number 1 WR in the draft. I would have waited on drafting a wr to grab him if he checks out, and would still grab him later on in the draft after using a number 1 on a wr.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 03:40 PM) I just want to point out that this was Quinarvys game thread to start. You f*** with the juju and this is what you get I'd personal attack you right now if I could. I started the last game thread and we won.
  11. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 11:43 AM) They should let like one dude in to watch the game. Pretty sure a minor league team did this marketing stunt a couple years back
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 11:34 AM) Jon Morosi ‏@jonmorosi 3h3 hours ago #Orioles received more credential requests to cover this game than there are seats in the press box. Too bad there's no ro for them anywhere else
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 11:17 AM) Kasie Hunt ‏@kasie 3h3 hours ago Orioles EVP says as of now, the whole in-park experience will be the same: Scoreboard, announcing, national anthem, 7th inning stretch Hope the vendors are patrolling the aisle too
  14. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 09:55 AM) Are the free games blacked out too? They were earlier in the year. This game is kind of unique I guess.
  15. Anyone have an online link that'll work that isn't mlb.com it's stupid blackout policies? PM pleaseeee
  16. After all the chaos it's (hopefully) time to play some baseball. This is a pretty historic game and the country will all have its eyes on it. Been awhile since ive seen such hype for an early season MLB game. Let's f***ing take it to the Os then.
  17. QUOTE (Tex @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 11:36 AM) Just thinking about tickets. If you have tickets for Section 201 Row D Seats 15 and 16 and those seats do not exist in the other park, or are substantially different, where do people sit? Do you exchange tickets at the gate? How long would that process take? It seems like it would take more than a day for logistics. Parking, etc etc. It'd be general admission like it was when we hosted the Marlins
  18. This will f*** us when it comes to the appeals/suspensions.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 06:45 PM) To quote Hawk circa 2005, where would he have played? Right field?
  20. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 05:40 PM) I don't have a TV at work....thats why I was asking. They are really canceling this game though over a few people getting a bit raucous? Sounds like an over reaction to me. Then you really need to turn on a tv. I've never seen anything like this in my life, not in the US.
  21. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 05:32 PM) Those were nothing compared to this. Which only furthers his point though. Ferguson lasted forever. This will too.
