Here’s a hot take that won’t surprise anyone...this team is better with Mendick at 2nd base. A few extra singles a week don’t offset horrible base running and choking defense. I still want to know what happened on Fowler’s hit in the 9th. If you’re going to have the same power in games as my 5 year old, you better have more range than my 5 year old.

You know I always appreciate your insight. It’s really hard to judge the 2020 Sox. Yes they made the playoffs, but we have no idea how they would have held up for 162 games. Maybe they win 100 games....or they win 75. I’ve seen a lot of people (including myself) reference the 2020 results far too often.

He should have let Collins bat for Hamilton in the 8th. He shouldn’t have let Ruiz start the 9th. Those two things are more irritating to me than not using Liam in the 9th.
