I’m happy they traded Dunning instead of Cease. I’d rather keep the higher ceiling guy. Like you mentioned, Dunning is not someone who was going to be a reason they succeed or fail.
Why do people act like Sox just can’t to find a pitcher next offseason to replace Lynn? They will know more about virus/attendance issues and should have virtually no offensive holes to fill.
Tony loves Lynn, just blame him. Sox are clearly going for it, so it will be interesting to see what’s next. I get it stings to lose Dunning, but he’s probably not one of the top 15-18 guys that would dictate the success of this era.
I’m fine with it. Dunning is a 4/5 starter with TJ on his record. If you’re relying on him down the road for an important game, you’re probably in trouble.
