There were plenty of us calling for more depth due to the injury history of all the outfielders. It’s not a shock to anyone Eloy hurt himself being clumsy.
Plain and simple, Cooper is not getting results. For every pitcher that has a good year, two or three seem to regress. He’s been given a ton of talent in terms of young players with very mediocre results.
So they want to make sure he doesn’t run into a wall again? In a normal 162 game season, I get it. Having him missing 3 pct of the season today for cautionary reasons just lacks urgency IMO.
