Pitching was good but man did they chase a ton of pitches out of the zone deep in the count

This offense needs a jolt. Center fielder continue to do absolutely nothing since the ASB. Pereira is terrible!

Also, Chase is just so much more effective when he pulls the ball. He’s gone back to trying to hit to right again and his hit tool isn’t effective enough for that.

So why didn’t Peters bunt? I know he made good contact, but that seemed like an easy choice

Peters has no track record. He’s not someone you sit around if he slumps for another two weeks and say “we know he’s capable of bouncing back”. Obviously not replacing Colson, but adding to the outfield possibly lengthens the lineup.
