Burke isn’t going to be in the big leagues long with this command. Can’t throw strikes and when he does, it’s often a hanger. Who would have ever guessed the pitcher who couldn’t throw strikes in the minors can’t throw strikes at this level.

I will never criticize the Crochet trade, as the return made sense. Same as I felt with Quintana and Sale deals. It’s the Fedde and Cease deals that didn’t make much sense, in terms of player return.

It just seems Colson has had a real issue with the improved command in AAA. He’s still selective, but he’s falling behind in counts and/or taking strike 3. He has too much swing and miss in his game to keep falling behind. Also, I’m sure other teams know he struggles with velocity up in the zone.

Can’t imagine doing victory laps about someone being bad when the current roster is hitting below .200 as a team.

For Austin, when I see comments like he makes too much contact, which results in a lot of ground balls and a lack of pull side power….it definitely sets off MDS. His power numbers are really bad.
