  1. QUOTE (rafacosta @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:44 AM) here comes ozzie's boyfriend... I thought we were banned from having sexual innuendo comments about Ozzie?
  2. Gotta love Hawk stressing DEEP TO CENTER...it literally was 60 feet from going out.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 12:41 AM) Goodbye baseball, it's been fun. Not to discredit the Sox, but Galarraga looks terrible.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 12:37 AM) That was a perfectly located fastball to Boesch...rising and up out of the zone. Very impressive inning there.
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 12:37 AM) That can't be right... I heard he had 7 a few days ago
  6. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 12:35 AM) Rios needs to sit for a few...or at least tomorrow. I keep pointing this out, but he just seems disinterested. His defense hasn't been great during the 2nd half, and his base running has been awful for about 2 months now.
  7. Fantastic sequence to Damon. His fastball control has been sensational.
  8. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 12:34 AM) 0 walks is very encouraging. I'm not gonna be hard on Jackson for all the hits, because half of them were bloop singles and odd bounces. Haha, you just said hard on
  9. QUOTE (shawnhillegas @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 12:32 AM) Everything pounded into the ground. Cause he's pulling off everything.
  10. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 12:32 AM) Geez, how many DPs does that give Rios for the past 2 weeks? At least 5 I would think. It's 9 since ASB, I believe.
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 12:31 AM) Alex is killing us lately. Either GIDP or striking out on pitches in the dirt.
  12. Wow, Rios with just a terrible effort there. He just isn't close to the same player he was during the first half.
  13. Very nice instincts by Beckham there. Rios has got to avoid the double play here, as that's been his nemsis the last month.
  14. QUOTE (rafacosta @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:23 AM) Cmon...give the guy a break. Half of the tigers' hits were cheap Twins like singles. Imo he is pitching quite well. No walks and lots of hangers on the breaking balls. And half of the outs were on hangers.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:22 AM) True. He had one really good slider on the outside half that Peralta tried to pull and looked bad. His next at bat, Jackson threw that same pitch to start the at bat off and Peralta lined it the other way and barely missed a double. Bottom of 5th seems to be very dangerous for Jackson.
  16. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:19 AM) What is considered to be Edwin's best off-speed pitch? He seems to have an effective fastball, but I haven't seen the good off-speed to go with it. It certainly isn't the slider this evening. His slider last year was world-class. This year, the results have been mediocre.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:18 AM) It's all he has other than the fastball, and the fastball is very straight. That hit was on a straight, 95 mph fastball down the middle. Cooper has his work cut out for him with Jackson. Like you said, he's basically a one-pitch pitcher. He could really use a change-up, as everything is hard with him.
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:14 AM) I just love when CQ hits the ball and the OF doesn't even move. He definitely makes hitting home runs look very easy when he's going well.
  19. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:14 AM) With tomorrow marking the two thirds way mark in the season, doesn't it just make sense to get Dayan into the starting line-up every day, whether at 3rd or DH, and maybe just maybe have Kotsay pinch-hit for him sporadically against certain right-handed pitchers? I mean, enough is enough already! Dude, lefties are way better against Galarraga than righties. That .002 difference is HUGE!
