  1. At least Sirotka never did anything after we traded him. I have a lot more hatred for Navarro. What a tool, and he sucked for the Sox a lot longer than Wells did.
  2. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:58 AM) Is this the first time the sox have broke into double digits? No, we scored 10 at Toronto.
  3. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:56 AM) I definately laughed at it cuz it was a funny post. Sorry for the confusion. Well, I apologize for the confusion also. I'm just going to delete my post about explaining it was a joke.
  4. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:52 AM) Why do you seem so surprised that someone laughed at your joke? I always thought that particular icon wasn't in favor of that particular post. If I am wrong, then I feel like a dumbass and will edit my post obviously.
  5. It looks like we found our back-up 1B for PK. His name is none other than Clifford Politte!!!!! Now, we can release Timo after tonight.
  6. I'll be absolutely shocked if Marte doesn't go on the DL now with some type of shoulder injury. We need to trade for a lefty reliever.....better not see Kevin Walker back up here.
  7. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:12 AM) This is f***ing ridiculous with Marte. How can he suck so much in one outing and then be so dominant in the next? Marte's dominant games have been few and far between this season.
  8. Marte can't be trusted anymore. He's not even close on his fastball.
  9. 6 pitch inning by our 1-2-3 isn't going to cut it. I'm not sure if we can try to hold on to a one run lead for so long again tonight.
  10. I don't know how Duque continues to do it, but he's given us a chance to win in all his starts besides the Rangers one really.
  11. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:57 AM) We want it to rain Of course we do.
  12. QUOTE(Confederate_48 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:56 AM) Heres the weather http://www.weather.com/outlook/events/sports/map/USCO0105 That radar looks awfully dangerous.
  13. The base running gets worse and worse every game.
  14. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:44 AM) Damnit, now we're up 5-4. What can we complain about now? Only in the 5th inning. Still a lot of plays to b**** about, I can guarantee that.
  15. In the past, this was a situation where PK would have had no problem hitting a sacrifice fly.
  16. For all the bashing we've done of Ozuna tonight, at least he's 3-3. Ozuna is swinging just a magic wand this season that Lew Ford could only dream of.
  17. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:37 AM) And probably win while we lose this one. We never go for sweeps. As Ozzie continues to be content with winning 2 out of 3, our division lead seems to be dwindling by a game every week or so.
  18. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:30 AM) 10 million over 3 years says otherwise. Uribe's a streaky hitter, just gotta take the good with the bad. I agree, it was more just a rhetorical question summing up that Crede isn't the only one who deserves to be on the hot seat right now. I know this is usually southsideirish's favorite topic, but what the hell is Greg Walker doing? How long can you let certain players struggle before you try and change things?
  19. At what point do we start saying that we might have to acquire a SS? Uribe's offense has been worse than Crede's offense has been over the last month.
  20. Any chance of a big enough storm tonight in Colorado for this game to get called once it starts to rain?
  21. QUOTE(YahtzeeSox @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:21 AM) You weren't paying attention. When was the last time you heard "HE GAWN! HE'LL GRAB SOME BENCH!"? Gotcha, thanks. And no, I had clicked over to the Twins game.
  22. Hawk a little too excited for the end of that inning there.
  23. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:12 AM) Offensive stats aren't the only thing that matters. So why do we have an awful fielding team on the field tonight with a non-strikeout pitcher on the mound? Our defense has already cost us at least 3 runs tonight.
  24. Remember when Konerko used to go the opposite way to hit a liner? If this is the way he's going to continue to swing for his career, I hope that we don't even consider resigning him.
