  1. It will be interesting to see the reaction on here if Jenks gives up a couple of runs tonight. Will he go from Cy Young to J. Navarro?
  2. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) Why was Crede out of the lineup tonite?? Is his back still hurting him or what. I mean were playing 1 of the hottest teams in baseball, and we should have our best players on the field. I just don't know wtf Ozzie is smoking lately Crede's back isn't close to 100 pct. We need to find a back-up 3b, and soon. The last player who I think could still contribute at the plate with a back injury is Crede. He's so stiff at the plate, that type of injury would just make him worse at the plate.
  3. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:57 AM) Instead of blaming Pablo, who isn't a 3B by any means and shouldn't be playing there in the first place, people should be blaming Buehlre if they're going to blame anyone at all. He's a great pitcher and I love him on our team, but he s*** his pants again against the A's. He really sucks dick against them. Buehrle has gone 7 innings, 2 earned runs tonight. He overcame his earlier difficulties to keep us in the game. Ozuna has proved over the course of the season that he can't play 3b...remember the Colorado disaster? There's a reason guys like Ozuna and Harris are bench players. Yet, Ozzie seems to be too busy trying to keep everyone fresh (right after a day off with the ASB coming up) than he is fielding our best lineup. Nightmare scenario is almost 2/3 complete....mercy.
  4. Another game, another terrible performance by our bench players that were in the game. Willie yesterday, and Ozuna tonight, have a lot to do with us losing. OZUNA IS NOT A f***ING 3B!!!
  5. It makes no sense to me for Dye to be batting behind Rowand. Rowand has not been getting on base at all, which has been one of the main reasons for all the solo homers.....and a big f*** you to Ozuna for his awful play at 3b.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) Talking about the A's not the Nats. Sorry buddy, thought it was about the Nats from a few pages earlier.
  7. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:47 AM) They have 2 studs in their bullpen but after that it ain't very good, I wouldn't call it a good bullpen. Cordero, Carrasco, Eischen, Ayala, and Majewski is pretty damn good, especially since they probably all make around the minimum.
  8. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) They have a good bullpen. They had their chance with the 4 and 5 hitters and couldn't get the run home. Konerko should not be batting clean up. His average with RISP is horrible. Thing is, the Nats play in a monster pitchers park. They can get away with poor hitting, as long as they keep the opposition to 2 runs. However, not many times during the summer can you hold an opponent to 2 runs or fewer at the Cell when the ball is flying out. Dye should be batting 4th right now, not a doubt in my mind.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:44 AM) Oye ve. One guy claims aaron is juicing, now everyone believes it. This is no shot at you fathom but just because he said that doesn't mean aaron was a roid user. I know, what I said shouldn't be taken as 100 pct sure. However, based on who said it, and what he said about it, there's no doubt in my mind it's legit.
  10. For the love of god, Ozuna is not a 3B. He's f***ing awful over at the hot corner.
  11. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:42 AM) damn zito is unhitable If we'd stop swinging at fastballs over our heads, we'd have a much better chance at getting a hit.
  12. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:42 AM) Rowand k's like always. He's been a flop this year. Griffey would look like a massive improvement in CF right now, especially if the Reds would take on some of his contract.
  13. QUOTE(Yoda @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:41 AM) WOW... I am having my doubts about Konerko coming back next season. There's not a chance in hell that PK should be brought back next season. And Mr. Juice K's.
  14. f*** you PK! Talk about the least deserving All-Star.
  15. Painfully obvious PK would be down 0-2 about 10 seconds into the AB. Whatever he does, he can't K looking.
  16. Man, Kotsay has an amazing arm. PK has got to get the runner in.
  17. Wow, great time for the double steal. Avoids any chance of a triple play on a grounder by Frank.....jk.
  18. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:35 AM) Iguchi looks very comfortable against Zito. Big improvement from earlier in this year, where Iguchi looked awful against Zito.
  19. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:34 AM) Sad if he's hurt, funny if he's OK. I think he's OK.
  20. Pods can't get picked-off in this situation, but we need to avoid the DP.
  21. Cubs player Adam Greenberg got hit in the head during his first career MLB AB.
  22. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:30 AM) When we swing at the first pitch, other people b****. Can't please everyone I guess. Well, when you have one hit through 5 innings, you better do something different. We're not even coming close to putting together a rally.
  23. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:28 AM) I thought your big fear was having the Twins, Cubs, and Indians win this weekend while we get swept? I didn't include the Indians in my nightmare scenario. And that whole momentum aspect plays a big part in why I think it would be such a negative situation to occur.
  24. Twins up 5-4, about to score more runs. My big fear is giving them momentum heading into the ASB. A double digit lead going into the ASB would have been huge from a psyche standpoint.
  25. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) You guys are acting like we should be hitting Zito. When he can throw his fastball, change AND curve for strikes at anytime, we're f***ed. Tip your caps to him. We're allowing Zito to pitch those pitches when we want to. If he throws a first pitch fastball right down the plate, we should be swinging. Also, we act like we've never heard that he throws a curveball when he gets two strikes.
