  1. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:12 AM) This might sound stupid but I'd Take Joe Borc-K-ard over Perez. At least with Borch pinch hitting he's still going to give you that one hundred something average but a chance to park a ball. I've never seen someone get as much mileage off of 2-3 clutch hits as Timo did last year. He got a million bucks and a roster spot despite sucking. Why is he still here? This might be an Andrew Gannon situation. I agree with you. Borchard also gives you the switch hitting ability, which might make the opposing team bring in a new reliever, etc.
  2. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:11 AM) When has timo ever proven to be a bad defender... not to mention the cannon of an arm he has... just because people dont like the way he catches the ball doesnt make him bad in the field..... He has absolutely no range at all! I've never seen a player have more balls drop right at his feet than Timo.
  3. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:06 AM) Greg Dobbs, Eric Valent, Eric Bruntlett, Bobby Higginson, Mark DeRosa....Timo Perez can be arguably better than all of those clowns. Eric Valent is a much better hitter than Timo has ever been. He's a very good hitter against righty pitching. The other guys you listed are bad......but is Timo really better than them? I bet most of them can actually play defense.
  4. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:01 AM) I forgot who said it but I'd like to repeat that "OMIT TIMO" would be an awesome poster. That would be me. Maybe the only valuable thing I've ever said on here.
  5. Timo is the worst offensive player in the majors. Not only can he not hit, but he makes terrible decision on the bases, and he's an absolutely terrible outfielder.
  6. QUOTE(valponick @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:47 AM) And when it gets warmer out we'll have #35 back in the lineup to give the offense a much needed boost. If we're relying on Frank to solve all our offensive problems......we're screwed. Our bottom of the order is simply pathetic right now. The thing is, you don't even have to make good pitches to guys like Dye, Everett, Crede, and Uribe in order to get them out. I would love nothing more than for the Frank of old to return, and have him hitting homers and drawing walks. I'm not completely sold we'll be getting the Big Hurt though. His injury is something that can really hurt a player's hitting ability.
  7. QUOTE(valponick @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:43 AM) I wouldn't go that far. Our style of play demands solid pitching, and like it or not we aren't going to be blowing many teams out, we are going to win a lot of close games, that is just a product of how this team plays baseball. When it gets warmer out, the ball will be flying out of the Cell. If we don't pick up our offense, our pitching is going to have a hard time single-handedly winning games like they have been.
  8. I think we all know the answer to that
  9. QUOTE(valponick @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:39 AM) Settle down. No matter how you look at things if you're in first place you shouldn't be complaining. I would agree with that if we were 162 games into the season. It's gotten to the point where our pitchers have to almost be perfect in order for us to be in control of a game.
  10. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:36 AM) Lol @ this offense. But...but...but...we're in first place. f*** that argument. There need to be changes made, and fast.
  11. Timo Perez can't get injured or released soon enough. What a f***ing terrible baseball player.
  12. All you have to do is get 2 strikes on the Sox, and then throw an offspeed pitch. You'll strike them out about 75 pct of the time.
  13. QUOTE(ReinsdorfSucks @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:33 AM) is there something that says we decided to try to pull everything and not even try to go the other way? Yes, it's called Greg Walker.
  14. Willie has absolutely no baseball instincts.
  15. Did Dye just go hitless in this series?
  16. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:30 AM) It's really struggled since Everett was hurt. There's nothing to suggest Everett is hurt. What's been hurting Everett is overswinging at pitches right down the plate, and fouling them off. Then, when he gets 2 strikes on him, he's swinging at anything within 5 feet of the plate.
  17. QUOTE(sircaffey @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:28 AM) I'm just saying... This offense is ridiculously bad... I couldn't agree with you more. Not only is the team struggling, but we're also in between on trying to play smallball or homer ball. We have one guy who can consistently steal on our team....but once you get past the first few hitters, you have the slowest team in the majors. Also, we're not getting the homer production from Rowand, Crede, and Uribe that we expected.
  18. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:07 AM) The problem is these guys haven't been able to hit squat and now we get a real fireballer coming in. Hope they can prove me wrong Not to sound like a jackass, but Donnelly is anything but a fireballer. He's all about late movement, etc. Exactly the type of pitcher who kicks our ass.
  19. He should have never f***ing thrown a first pitch fastball to Dallas. I'm so happy Ozzie went to the mound to tell him that.....f*** that.
  20. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:01 AM) The one with the big tits is ugly. The one next to her is much better looking. Well.....then I'll just continue to not look at their faces.
  21. QUOTE(ReinsdorfSucks @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:00 AM) anyone see those f***in hotties behind the right handed hitters?????????????/ *drools* I didn't even see their faces!
  22. Contreras is hanging his forkball this inning.
  23. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:59 AM) Rooney made it sound like Konerko could have thrown Anderson out at 2nd. No
  24. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:58 AM) Cotts has no business in a game like this. Hopefully he's just gettin some work in. If Marte is unavailable, Cotts will likely be brought in to face one of the many lefties in the Angels lineup.
  25. In a way, I'm happy the Angels decided to bunt there. Always glad to get the first out of the inning, especially with a pitcher who can strike hitters out.
