Holy s*** is our 3-4-5 pathetic right now. Danny Wright could get them out.

Leadoff walk by Garland to the number 8 hitter.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 02:42 AM) I didn't like the decision to have Ozuna bunt. Way too early in the game to start playing for one run. Especially after the leadoff walk/hbp, you're just bailing out the pitcher from a potential big inning. However, it's the way Ozzie's going to manage, and as long as they keep winning, it won't change.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 02:38 AM) It's 0-0 after 2 IP. As some would say Garland was lucky to pitch 2 scoreless innings this game. :rolly He's on his way to his 17th good start over his last 23. I wouldn't be so fast to say Garland's going to have a good start. Lets hope he does, but in the past, you know how often he's just "lost it".

Everett should try batting lefty against Zito. Looks just terrible against the lefty pitcher.

Sox @ A'ss Game Thread (4/25 @ 9:05 p.m. CT)
Quick note: I watched Zito's last game against the Mariners, and he got rocked in the first inning because Seattle made him throw strikes. I'm not sure we're patient enough to take that approach.

Free Rowand to the 3rd spot against lefties!

If you notice my post from the earlier Dye-d thread, Dye just followed the same pattern on that at-bat that he's been doing all year. Take first pitch fastball for strike, and then on the 2 strike pitch, he's chasing anything within 5 feet of the plate. Just a terrible mental approach.

Garland seems to be throwing a new curveball on the fists of the lefty hitters. He used it tremendously against the Tigers last outing.

Zito wasn't on steroids. Rather, he pitched a ton of innings at an early age in the majors, and his velocity is paying the price for that usage. Same thing has happened to numerous other pitchers.

Against lefty pitching, I really would like to see Rowand batting 3rd. Everett just doesn't have a very good approach against lefties like he does righties.

Zito is also very easy to steal against. Podsednik should be starting every game that he's not injured.

Twins Lose! Twins Lose!
The only reason the Twins announcer probably made the Uribe comment was that Uribe didn't have a very good defensive series against the Tigers. I think he made an error in both games of the series.

What was the cause of the brawl?

Twins VS Tigers
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 07:35 PM) Rivas bobbles, Tigers take the lead, 5-4 Tigers. Minny playing really sloppy, they look a lot different from last season........ Is this game on television? I've looked on the satellite, and can't find it.

Jermaine Dye-d
Something I've noticed with Dye is that he seems to be taking a ton of first pitch fastballs right down the plate for strikes. Then, when he gets to two strikes, he's showing no patience and swinging at sliders that are well off the plate. He's not giving himself a real good chance to have a quality at-bat.

Twins VS Tigers
Twins get the lead after Farnsworth gives up 2 runs in the 7th with 2 outs.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!
Ozzie was going to start Ozuna tomorrow anyways, but boy did he earn that start today! That squibber by Sweeney was a very tough play, and he made a perfect throw to Shingo covering. I like Ozuna as a QB better than Orton already.

Pena should have never, ever left Sisco in to face Rowand. Rowand is so much more dangerous against lhp than he is rhp.

Just amazing. How the hell did we win that game?

Great play by Pablo!

Crede actually had better swings today than he did in a lot of the games in which he had hits during the streak. I'm very encouraged.

We had some very slow players in our starting lineup today!

I say let Shingo get the first two hitters next inning, and if he's in trouble, bring in Marte to face Stairs.
