Bummer doesn't start.
There is also the challenge of how long to keep a starter in vs. pulling them for a chance for a run in a close game.
I'd argue the lack of DH actually makes this decision easier in the NL since the manager has a built in excuse to pull the starter, no such luck in the AL, they often need to go by gut, the lineup card doesn't make the decision for you.

I have a good feeling about today.

Knew I was forgetting something.
Edit: although by now we all should know that a Tuesday, first game of a home series is a night game.
I know, I'm just accustomed to glancing at the game thread in the morning to remind me when they're playing, not a big thing obviously!

No start time in the title 😒

I'm a little excited for this one. Don't let me down, White Sox!

There's no such thing as starting a game thread too early and plenty have been started before the previous was closed, I've personally closed quite a few that were still open when the next was created, if the Sox lose it's because SSHM is bad luck for other reasons.

Oops my bad! I didn’t know I was unauthorized to post game threads here. I better go back and read the rules.
They're not written anywhere, you're just supposed to instinctively know the rules and you'll be thoroughly roasted when you break them, justifiably so, it's pretty fucked up not just automatically getting it. It is surprising how infrequently this happens, I think people are gun-shy about making them.

Game thread starting becomes fair game once lineups are announced, anyone can just create it. Though today's game thread should have been created like midday yesterday.

I’m away from my pc until later tonight so Luis is going to remain faded for a bit, my sincerest apologies to him.

Love seeing Eloy in the for a 3rd straight day. Vaughn in right, Leury in left, trying out Vaughn in right some more tonight.

It is funny how you can have 13 pages of decently nuanced discussion (mostly @chw42 kicking ass) that arrives at an approximation of a board consensus that this is a solid if unspectacular move that will help the team then someone will waltz in and post "Horrible fucking trade, this guy sucks shit" and it feels just a little bit deflating.

Sorry, a cheap troll job for the posters who keep reminding everyone about TLR alcohol incidences.
ah, that's what I thought, wasn't sure if you were referring specifically to something I've said, now it's clear

As opposed to the posters who enjoy ridiculing a man with an addition and disease?
I don't get the context

It's true, but he is much less offensive than most trolls.
He's pretty good at it, the Abreu shit is just annoying at this point but some of the rest is funny.

I thought you're too good to post in game threads with us plebs? Beat it.
I usually find my way out by game time, I very publicly enjoy the pre-game discourse, at least those that post in earnest.
