Abreu's breaking this guy's White Sox rookie records:

He was pretty damn good, how have I not heard his name before?
Like I said I would of guessed Kittle in 83

Remember, Abreu could opt for arbitration after year 3. It's going to be interesting to see what the Sox do, and how it all plays out.
His deal will be redone by then he keeps this up do not worry.

Just from what we've seen this month I'd guess close to $100 million.
27 years old..............8 yr 160 mil.

Even for the biggest spenders, that's a lot of money to tie up on two hitters who both have to play either 1B or DH.
I am glad he is here.................they would all bid different today.

Doug Padilla @ESPNChiSox 1m
Abreu's 10 HRs most in ANY month by a Sox rookie.
I would hope.........Did Kittle have the old record I would guess?

Biggest spending teams already had 1B under huge contracts:
Yankees - Teixeira
Dodgers - Gonzalez
Angels - Pujols
Tigers - Cabrera
He could of been the DH on 3 of those teams and play first some also. All 3 of AL teams have no problem spending money.
