I'd rather watch a little league team...atleast little kids care about the game and have some f***ing emotion. This is ridiculaos. They are playing like they are bored and have somewhere better to be. f***ing joke.
Who cars how Borchard's numbers are. They can't get worse than Aaron's and he is a much bigger power threat in the lower part of the order. Atleast he can make contact when he swings.
We need to do something soon.
Demote Roand, call up Borchard and try to get the AAA relievers some chances. Not like they can do any worse than what we are doing right now. It is going to be rough if they play with this mentality against the big teams.
If that is true I feel pretty bad for Koch. He is being a good guy and taking responsibilty for his pitching and not b****ing and we are all ragging on him. I really hope the guy is ok and can get back to form. You don't go from a 44 save with a 100mph fastball to a guy who can't strike out teams like the Tigers because he is throwing a 94-95mph fastball without something fishy going on. I really hope he is alright.
If it is Beane pulling a fast one, there is one thing to say to that....
:finger :fyou :finger :fyou Beane
They are all trying to hit the long ball. What the hell happened to Konerko hitting a ton of singles and doubles like last season? Unless he wants to be league leader in GIDP. They need to get s*** going, and soon.
Sanders didn't look too bad for his first time up. Didn't give up any runs and seemed to have pretty decent control of his pitches. Will be interesting to see what will be going on in the next few weeks, especially in CF.
Lol, first it was that he just pitched against Detroit. So you guys questioned him. Then he beat the Royals. Then he beats the Orioles. Why don't you just give him a break and cheer for him? They guy is doing a great job and pitching a lot better than our 1 and 2 guys. What are you going to say when he shuts down higher caliber teams?
None of our guys are up to top velocity yet. Give him a few more weeks and I think his fastball will be getting going. It was starting at like 91 and he is up to around 95-96. It takes pitchers a while to get loose and be ready for the season. Don't give up on Billy yet.
There was an article in the school paper about him saying it is his job to motivate the team and have them ready and he admitted he isn't getting it done. Maybe he wants to get fired heh.
What a nice hit. I was sitting there thinking "Carlos, you need a grand slam: and I said it to my roommate and then started yelling when he got it. The roomie thought I was nuts. Go Carlos, fianlly getting going.
