QUOTE(beck72 @ May 23, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) Any new signees to Dye's support group, or those who'd like to ease up on their criticisms of Dye after his solid weekend, and recent string of good games? Dye was awesome to end the week.

QUOTE(BlackBetsy @ May 23, 2005 -> 10:34 AM) Well, I think it's an interesting concept. I like picking up Teixera for third base...but I'm not sure where we would play Blaylock.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 23, 2005 -> 08:47 AM) I hope he's got a swear jar. maybe we could sign billy wagner with his swear jar
-
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 23, 2005 -> 08:39 AM) Lets use the Jose Mesa mentality here. O'Briens going to threaten someone's life? Really though, I agree with you. But, just maybe a change of scenery may help. He will always be a choker. Not a trait you want in your kicker

QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 23, 2005 -> 08:28 AM) Just admit you made the wrong choice and move on. I think he made the right move. If he were in tha position again , I still think that's the right move. Just because the bullpen blew it does not make ozzie wrong.

The sox just lost and you have this ugly bastard in your face I'd go on a rant too personally

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 23, 2005 -> 08:16 AM) I can see how it would be annoying to be second-guessed by a chumpstain like "The Professor" Brad Palmer. Hindsight is a mutha-f*cker. f*** the media. Brad palmer is a little b****. To make it worse, I'm pretty sure he's a chub fan.

That's just Ozzie's attitute. Quite frankly, I support it.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 22, 2005 -> 11:26 PM) Guarentee anyone here that BMAC goes down to the minor once Duque gets back unless there's another injury or someone does piss poor in the starting rotation. The Sox want him to be a starter. They want him stretched out for whenever they need him to start. I'll bet my membership on that. would you bet your "crede's crew" on that?
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 22, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) That's what Kenny and Ozzie have to decide. I know ozzie absolutely loves Brandon and if he dominates texas like he owned the cubs today it's going to be very hard to send him back down. It's an outstanding problem to have though, there isn't another team out there who has 6 great starters to work with. Bmac is something special. Why throw him back down to charlotte if he continues to prove himself. His stuff was filthy today.

QUOTE(qwerty @ May 22, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) He is not getting paid anything compared to hernandez and contreras and he has options left. We are in a division race. Don't we want our best 25 out there?
-
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 22, 2005 -> 04:32 PM) I understand your point, but how long are we supposed to wait for him to figure it out? It's been two months, and he's still garbage. Maybe we should somehow see how Baj will do before we decide on Viz. If Bajenaru sucks and Viz gets better, we keep him. If Bajenaru sucks and so does Viz, we package Viz for someone else. If Bajenaru does well, we do whatever we can with Viz. No matter what, we have to start looking at alternatives. I don't see any signs of him putting it back together. It took us a year and a half to figure out Koch is garbage

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 22, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) There is no one else. When Duque comes off the DL, Brandon will be back in Charlotte. Only reason that wouldn't be the case is if Brandon is able to get 5 or 6 starts while Duque is on the DL and just kicks ass in those starts. However, if thats the case this team may look a little different anyway due to a trade. Bmac looked good today. It's one game. But if he continues I don't see how that can hurt us. How can you send him down if he is major-league ready right now?
-
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 22, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) Can everyone at least agree that it should be a combination of Walker, Timo, and Vizcaino? That's what I'm leaning towards
-
Another guy who should come come up is Bajenaru . We have a lot of depth. I guess that's a good thing.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 22, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) They aren't going to demote Viz. He may be struggling this year but he's also been a long time horse in the pen and I'm sure the Sox are going to stick with it and hope he can pitch out of his struggles. If he can't he'll be moved around the deadline with a prospect for another quality reliever. Viz has proven he's a good major league pitcher, no reason to give up on him now, not yet. He's sucked this year but he's more than capable of just turning it on and dominating for the rest of the year. Hell part of having htis great record is you have the luxury of being a little more patient and allowing guys to get out of funks when they usually woudl have to just riddle on the bench with you sticking with the hot hand (in the end you'll typically wear down that hot hand and end up losing due to too few guys carrying the show). I have no idea if this last paragraph makes any sense, lol. I agree with you. But out of our 25 top men someone will be left out. Timo , walker and who else?
-
QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ May 22, 2005 -> 04:08 PM) I'm not down on Viz today because that ball wouldn't normally have left the park. Let's try to wait a month (Frank's return) before knowing what we really have with him. I'm not talking only today. I'm talking what I have seen thus far.
-
I'm another supporter of keeping willie up.
-
sox : Frank, Bmac, Gload sent down: Walker, Timo, Viz
-
QUOTE(knightni @ May 22, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) I can see Vizcaino and Timo being dealt before the AS Break. I wonder what we can get in return.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 22, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) There's no way Timo goes down to the minors. They'll end up designating him for assignment on way to an outright release. I just want him gone.
-
Bmac was awesome today. I can't see how he can't help this team. Do you guys feel he should stay up here to help this club? I say we should send down: Timo and Viz.
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 22, 2005 -> 11:42 AM) Yep, if Farmer ever does a game by himself, it'll be 3 hours about Ed Farmer. Ed Farmer loves to talk. He can just ramble for hours.

QUOTE(Be Good @ May 22, 2005 -> 08:53 AM) There's 2 choices as far as im concerned. I live in NY, never been to chi-town, so I don't know hot that rivalry is. The mets-Yanks rivalry is huge here. It's no where as intense as chicago. I've been to both rivalries. NY is up there though.
