  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 09:13 PM) Considering Alabamas vulnerability to long throws, it's understandable the willingness to pass. Just sucks the OSU QB situation. He only has two reads and they aren't good.
  2. Turns out two turnovers in your own territory is bad.
  3. Ohio state has the best field position in the country. Not tonight.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 08:49 PM) The Alabama red zone defense is lethal. It won the Iron Bowl and is the key so far today. Lovie Smith would be proud, bend but don't break It's a super complex pattern matching scheme that switches man and zone at the snap. It's incredible. Takes a seasoned QB to read it.
  5. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 08:09 PM) OSUs rb needs to actually wear his jersey. Eddie George fan.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 07:58 PM) One undefeated BCS team and a one loss SEC team? Would have been FSU vs Bama without a discussion. Good luck Rock, don't think I have it in me to root for your guys though. But but I love you.
  7. Old BCS system would have put FSU in the title game fyi
  8. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 07:36 PM) Now it's time for Ohio St to take care of business and pull off the upset. It won't happen, but a guy can dream. I just don't see any way a 3rd string QB stands a chance against Saban-led defense with a month of preparation. JT would certainly help here. Ohio state is here about a year too early.
  9. FSU had been playing this game all year with miracle comebacks. Oregon is just too good. Now I hope we put up a fight here.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 05:33 PM) I think he will be a massive bust. Winston will be a far better pro. The problem with him is will he be a pro or Manziel?
  11. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 04:40 PM) So when is a bowl game a referendum on a conference and team as opposed to a team not being motivated Starting in 2006 when OSU got curb stomped. That's when the modern day conference love started. I don't agree with it. Bowl games are crap shoots if you aren't playing for anything
  12. And spread teams have figured out Sparty. They put safeties on slot WRs and get beat all day
  13. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 02:44 PM) Those were three horrible play calls by Malzahn. You'd expect better from an "offensive genius". Worst trick play ever
  14. Starting to drink soon. Hope we make it a contest tonight.
  15. I fell asleep during the GT game and had nightmares about the triple option.
  16. QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 06:36 AM) i will respectfully disagree here and with R. Raines. he does what is his game. a solid all around d-man a top 2 in the beginning may now toward the end of his career a top 4. I didn't say he was a bad player though at times he is, he's is just an ineffective checker.
  17. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 09:49 PM) You really think that the committee isn't smart enough to sort out TCU/Baylor without the Big 12 naming one the champion? Or that it helped Ohio State more to have two Big Ten voices in the room (coaches) than the Big 12 only having one voice (WV AD)? Exactly. Then they compared Baylor and OSU and saw that one had a better strength of schedule, won more games against bowl teams and won a conference championship game and awarded the slot to that team. They followed the criteria they said all along. The only way being in the big 12 hurt is they don't have the extra game. I don't buy conspiracy theories about who was in the room when the criteria was obvious.
  18. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 09:02 PM) I have zero belief that the Big 12 not presenting Baylor as "outright Big 12 champion" made any difference in whether or not they made the playoff. I think that the B1G having two former coaches that supposedly the committee leaned on made a bigger difference. If them not having one of the teams declared Big 12 champions made a difference in them picking teams, then this thing is a pretty big joke. I wouldn't mind seeing Mack Brown on the committee next year in place of Luck. It's your right to have a conspiracy theory.
  19. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 05:13 PM) So then are you trying to say a 13th game wouldn't have mattered for Baylor? Big thing is, I see no way the Big 12 adds a title game. I don't think an extra game should matter, though apparently there's obviously disagreement on that. An extra win vs a good team and a consensus league champion is a pretty big deal. Of course if the Big 12 didn't have a moron running it they would have actually given Baylor a good chance at the playoff.
