  1. Does anyone have a link to this anywhere? Ive been searching the boards of every site and still nothing. I'm a big Abreu fan and I dont want to see his career brought to an end. However it would be quite funny if the Cubs traded their savior.
  2. I'm interested in any team, are there still teams available? I registered but I dont know what I'm doing.
  3. That writer, Dayn Perry, is a chronic Sox basher and now he comes out with this article to make it seem as if hes been a fan of Williams's the entire time. F this guy, hes Mariotti junior if you ask me.
  4. Does anyone know when they send you the actual tickets? I bought mine like 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting to get a bill or anything from them, how long does this usually take?
  5. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) Damn your slow I had that first my first suspension!! Well I'm shy.
  6. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) Well everyone knows that, except nitetrain. I'm just trying to get to 100 posts.
  7. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 02:13 PM) Did Blalock on the road hit better than Crede on the road? Home AVG's: Blalock - .297 Crede - .235 Away AVG's: Blalock - .231 Crede - .269 Personally, I'd rather have a hitter hit better at the Cell than on the road.
  8. This has been said for years that Joe Crede is the next superstar but its been over 5 years now and we are all still waiting for him to be what you say "one of the 5 best 3bs in the game". Also Blalock >>> Crede. However Garland and Crede >>> Blalock.
  9. QUOTE(VAfan @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) Rogers is suggesting Garland AND Crede for Hank Blalock. AAACCK. No thanks. Here's Blalock's pitiful numbers away from home: Away 334 26 77 20 0 5 29 21 1 70 0 0 .231 .276 .335 .611 .335 slugging? .276 OBP? I wouldn't trade Joe Crede for him straight up? And I'm sure you could get Crede signed right now for Blalock's deal, even with Scott Boras as his agent. Joe Crede is going to turn into a monster for the Sox in 2006, just like he was in the postseason. You cant base his whole career on SPLIT statistics from 2005. Blalock had an off year last year and still hit 25 dingers and 92 rbis. The guy played in 161 games, 170 hits, 279 total bases and compare these to Crede's numbers and its a no contest. I understand, we owe a lot to Crede for his heroics in the playoffs, but some needs to tell Crede that the first 7 innings of a game are not extra BP I mean the guy only hits from the 7th inning and later. I think you have Crede way over valued, Blalock is a far better hitter and not too shabby at D either. Also if you mix in Crede's back problems, his agent, and even his age then Blalock is a much better option at third.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 11:54 PM) So how many times over the next couple of days will we hear the names Carl Crawford, Hank Blalock, and might I add, Adam Dunn? Hopefully a million, any of those players would be perfect.
  11. KW is amazing, now its time to deal Garland for Blalock, GO GET'EM KENNY!!!
  12. Just what the Rock wanted, bravo KW if this is true.
  13. No, we do not need seven starters. Therefore trade El Duque, Young, and someone else for Vazquez, then turn around and trade Garland either before the season or at the deadline.
  14. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 09:18 PM) either way, Garland or Contreras were included. The White Sox feel too good about B-Mac to not have him start next year... and so do I. But wouldnt it be smarter to save Garland from this trade and deal him off to someone else before the season starts? With him going 18-10 last year, some team will surely give up some big talent to get this guy.
  15. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) The article mentioned Chris Young but not Josh Fields. I was just throwing a name out there, but if you want to go by the article then El Duque and Young for Vazquez, now we all know that isnt going to happen.
  16. QUOTE(GasHeGone @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) My pet peeve: People who want in-demand players for below-the-Mendoza-line scrubs (ie - Vazquez for Chris Young and Fields. Are you serious?) Hey, its not like I just brought this up on my own, I read it in the article and felt it was worth talking about.
  17. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) Because Mccarthy will be better then Vaz imo and there is no point to set him back a year. If this trade were made Garland would be gone one way or another. That makes sense but if Garland isnt involved in the Vazquez deal then they could trade him for some very good talent since his trade value is pretty high right now.
  18. Maybe I missed this or maybe I didnt feel like reading the 26 pages of bickering but why is it assumed that Garland is part of the deal? From the article on whitesox.com: Garland figures to earn in the $6 million range through arbitration, but could be replaced by Brandon McCarthy in the rotation if he was shipped to another team. Of course, the White Sox would prefer to move Orlando 'El Duque' Hernandez and his $4.5 million salary, along with a prospect, setting up one of the best rotations in baseball with Mark Buehrle, Freddy Garcia, Vazquez, Garland and Contreras. The idea of that rotation made me happy in the pants area. So why not ship Chris Young and someone else like Josh Fields for Javier Vasquez and keep Garland around until the end of the season?
  19. Yeah same here, if they were like 200 for a pair I'd think about it but 450 is how much I paid for my tickets. I'd rather sit in their seats during a game rather than sit in my own blue seat at home.
  20. Now that I'm officially a season ticket holder, my first privledge came in my e-mail today. The Sox are selling those hideous neon blue seats for 450 bucks a pair. Is anyone here actually going to shell out the cash to buy these?
  21. Valid Point, but I cant believe he would leave the AL where he has dominated for the last 9 years. The article on fox sports stated that he wanted to stay on the East Coast. So what does that leave?
  22. Not to bust anyone's bubble, but this has Red Sox written all over it. They just traded their starting SS for a third base prospect and now all of a sudden the best SS in baseball wants to be traded. Maybe its just me but if he wants out of Baltimore, hes going to jet straight for them other Sox.
  23. I also ordered the Hit & Run plan and I was wondering what other perks we get now that we're season ticket holders? BTW, I bought 3 seats Section 534 Row 7, where is everyone else?
  24. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 11:42 PM) Did anyone else find this a bit weird? Hey the Rock is not gay, not thats theres anything wrong with that.
