  1. QUOTE (rcpweiner @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 02:43 PM) You guys are looking at this wrong. This is the right situation, having half of your lineup slumping while the other half is hitting. There'll be plenty of games where Thome-Konerko carry us while AJ-Crede-Uribe are scuffling. It's better this way. This is true. It'd just be nice to get these guys going sooner rather than later.
  2. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 02:36 PM) And with Swisher being able to play 1st, and having good defensive OF on the bench, there are actually options to use in their spots, unlike the last few years. Yup. Whether he's ready or not, Anderson should be in CF these next 2 games, Swisher should be at 1b, and Thome and Konerko should get some extra time to relax for a day.
  3. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 02:34 PM) So when our 2-3-4 comes up, it's actually like the bottom of the order coming up, and the bottom of the order is getting all the hits. Odd. IMO, this is a great argument for why we need to get these couple an extra day off these next couple days.
  4. SWISHY! Uribe decent slide, Swisher with the Hustle.
  5. Ok, maybe holding Joe for this year was the right call. Keep it up Joe.
  6. 61 pitches for Blackburn through 3.
  7. Good work BOFAPTALPOTW. Come on CQ.
  8. For the people watching, has the ump been as bad as seemingly Ozzie, Swisher, and a few others have thought?
  9. That'd be Span's first ML hit.
  10. 43 pitches for Blackburn through 2.
  11. Blackburn has now thrown 36 pitches through 2, Vazquez has thrown 34.
  12. Well, Crede pops up. "That wouldn't have been a home run in a phone booth" - Farmer.
  13. Since we're carrying a long reliever, how long of a leash do we give Javy today?
  14. Whatever the small ball people will say...The Twins giving Javy the free out before their 8 and 9 hitters, I'll consider that a good thing. Come on Javy.
  15. 19 pitches for Blackburn in the first, 15 for Javy. Come on JV, settle down.
  16. When Steve Stone says a guy balked, I'm going to believe it.
  17. Farmer suggesting there's a fight or something going on in the crowd behind the Twins dugout.
  18. And that is why you don't send a guy home from 3rd with no outs and Thome, Konerko, and Dye coming up.
  19. Our new guy at 3rd with the hold sign. Good move, I like it. With Thome coming up, no outs, guy in the arm supposedly with a very good arm, I like the hold.
  20. In some bad environmental news, the city of New York has been considering attempting a congestion pricing plan of the sort that has appeared in London, which is basically a tax on driving in to the city. It seems like a solid environmental proposal, because it encourages use of mass transit, and also cuts down on the time people spend stuck in traffic (which accounts for a non trivial percentage of emissions). Unfortunately, the plan seems to have died. And it was the Democrats that killed it.

For those having problems, I can't give you a guarantee, but to get Gameday Audio to work, I just had to log out and then log back in to MLB.com. For some reason it wasn't recognizing my access, and that seems to have cleared it.
  22. They're seriously calling this award the "Bank of America Presents the AL player of the week award" now. Go AJ!
